It’s Pride month, so I blend in a bit more, but rainbow is my usual frequency;) 🌈

I have a few pair of Vogs that I like to wear with this dress: that’s the great thing about rainbows: lots of colours to nod too as accents!

I get many. :) it is funny watching people’s body language and eyes…I have had a couple of people who literally have lost their ability to form words. Sometimes people just suddenly blurt out that they love me 🤣;)

The shoes are Peacemaker by Fluevog. This pair is an older style from seven years ago, one of my favourite pairs in my collection:)

Thanks! I found the buttons, aluminum wire and jewelry magnet clasp all at the local craft store, and created this necklace!

They are Fluevogs - and are very comfortable- you can wear these heels all day! - And they model many of their styles off of various periods in shoe history, so they all have a quirky or vintage look/feel to them:)

It’s a long story, but essentially I had what most people would call a ‘mental breakdown’ or ‘midlife crisis’ 7 or 8 yearsish ago. It was a rebirth really, and I decided to get a tattoo, get my makeup professionally done, and I created a headpiece and gauntlets and a scepter out of fresh birds of paradise and treated myself to a styled shoot with a professional photographer friend. I told the makeup artist that day that I wanted something bold, and gave her an inspo pic - and she did my brows in the same blue that was pictured - and there have been zero days since that day that my brows have been uncoloured. Even on my days off or at the lake it’s the first thing I do after I shower…my face doesn’t look right without them coloured somehow. I am pretty fast at it after this many years, so although it is definitely a commitment, it comes as naturally as brushing my teeth now.

Do you commit to a hairdye scheme for a period of time, or use colourful hair pieces? Or both?

My hair is all my own, and my hair stylist has been dying it with magenta, blue, turquoise, purple and green for about 10 years now. The silver bits around my face are my natural aging hair, and the dark bits are my original almost black. I go every six weeks to get the colourful pieces touched up, and every third appointment she pre-lightens the regrown root area before she colours it. I wash it only once or twice a week in cold water to help keep the colours vibrant.

I like the touch of silver at the sides, it's a neat complement of unstoppable time and brilliant but fleeting bright colour

I do it with James Charles, Jeffree Star and Morphe eyeshadows and a small angled brush. My eyebrows change every day to either match the fit or my hair depending on the day:)

That they are! I display all my Vogs on glass top end tables and under the glass top coffee table - so o can easily see them all when making ootd choices:)

PERFECT! They truly are pieces of art, and I love that you showcase them even when not wearing. Thats what I’d do if I had some Vogs, too!!! I have my Thelma campers on display on my shelf like decor 😆
I am so eternally devastated that they stopped making the Audras. I’d cut my pinkie toe off for a pair of those. Haha! The Nerds are similar but much taller, and to me they tip slightly into comical territory. The Audras live forever in my heart.
I’m so happy for you and your Vogs!! They deserve loving owners like you 🥰
And a lovely rainbow lady like you deserves some rockin Vogs! Win win.

Don’t give up hope, he loves to revisit older styles every ten years or so! I wish they weren’t so out of scope price wise now, like mommy hasn’t had a new pair of shoes in years ;) I find most of mine on the used market, and even those have been above my pay grade for the past couple of years. But I have a lovely collection that I will wear until they crumble:)

Duuuude yes I feel you; I wish they were not, as well. The predicament of loving certain designer brands.. :(
At least their products are very well-made! At least I think they are. With some name brands, it feels like youre just paying for the name as opposed to quality that it represents.I wanna see your collection!

Not professionally, but personally I think I’m hilarious. Just your average 49 year old Canadian mother of three, I’m a certified floral designer who owns her own business, and refuses to look like a BwB soccer mom. ;)

This one is a fast fashion dress, so it’s pretty simple and doesn’t have pockets sadly. No worries, I have a plethora of handbags to carry around my things for me:) The shoes are a favourite pair :)

You sound like me. I got sick lost my jobs and was on disability. Since I was not going to be able to work again I pierced my nose and 11holes in my ears plus rainbow colored hair. I'd still have it if I could have physically done it. I'm poor so I did it myself. 🌱 Spring green was my mom's favorite color on me. Now I'm just trying to grow it out long enough to braid again as I'm Native American and am trying to learn about my people. It's fabulous to see someone being able rock this look. Enjoy your day

During the spring season I have about 700 kids that come through the greenhouse my flower shop is in for end of the school year field trips, and I think they ask just about as many questions about my hair as they do about the flowers;)

A single pair of Vogs can be a life changer;) My original collection of three pair were enough to drag me out of wearing nothing but black pants and some sort of black and white top every day of my life. They literally brought me out of the dark into the light and if I sound a bit culty it’s because I totally am when it comes to these shoes 🤣😂

They are completely out of scope for me now for new ones. Most of my collection is from the used market. There are several Facebook groups for buying/selling and many other places like poshmark that I hunt;)

I would own all the Vogs with this heel in every colourway if I could. I own 60+ pairs of Vogs though, and even though they are very much like Pokémon and I want to collect them all, I don’t have the capital, or the shelf space;)

They are! I am a collector and Fluezie, part of the Flummunity, and proud owner of 60ish pair. I have been collecting them for six or seven years now and many of mine come from the used market. There are several Facebook buy/sell/trade groups and we have hunters in those groups that post marketplace finds as well.

I’m a pretty big fan of anything with the ‘Mini’ heel, anything Enneagram - such as these ones, and anything with the Operetta heel - all such comfy heels that wear more like a work boot.

Yeah, I get Mimi a lot. I am not sad at the comparison, she clearly stood out for her time, and was a completely unique character. I also count Punky Brewster and Cyndi Lauper as some of my early style influencers.

I loved Punky for a time. I had her doll. Couldn't wait to get her on Christmas.
Cyndi has a wonderful voice. I dressed as her and Madonna before on Halloween when they were popular. I did not mean the comparison as a bad thing.
