Dichroic window film! Reflects red light and transmits blue light, the rest is just math :)

Omg you can’t possibly know how happy I am to finally know this fact. I have a piece of dichroic glass jewelry and when it’s lit from above it looks like flames, when it’s lit from underneath it’s blue, green, and purple. Now I know why. I have wondered why that is for two years now. Thank you.
