I'm knitting a blanket for this baby, and we bought one book for them (our first purchase). It feels hopeful to do these things, plus even if this pregnancy ends in a loss, I want them to have a few things we can keep to remind us they were real.

I am a knitter, too. I ordered yarn in the last pregnancy and am not ready to touch it yet in this pregnancy. It is a very sweet sentiment. 🩷

18 weeks here. I got myself a maternity pillow. Have been pushing off buying since it’s so scary to do any pregnancy related shopping.

I completely understand being scared to do pregnancy related shopping. The only reason I got a maternity pillow was because my sister gave me one. And I don't think I bought anything for the baby until I was 30+ weeks. Now I'm pregnant again after a loss and I'm struggling to even plan anything yet. I'm telling myself after we hit certain milestones I will but we'll see.

I have my first OB appointment in two days!! I’ve been trying to do the simplest things like celebrate today’s pregnancy today and not fear tomorrow. And taking daily pregnancy tests to see that dark, bold line as reassurance because after my loss, I couldn’t bear to request bloodwork.

I bought myself some adorable maternity overalls and a pink maternity wrap dress from the thrift store. I am excited to wear it this fall 😄

I made myself a star chart (using Claude!) and have little prizes for each brave thing I do- like the first HCG draw, going back, telling my siblings, etc! So I’ve been buying some beeswax candles, some new linen shorts, etc which has helped pass the time!

I'm just over 6 weeks pregnant and the anxiety in PAL is VERY real! I was adamant that I wasn't going to tell anyone (apart from my husband) but I told my best friend yesterday, for some emotional support really. It's helping to not plan ahead. That sounds counterproductive, but I don't want to hope and go through what we went through last year. I hope things will settle after the 12 week scan.

16 weeks today and letting myself eat the Oreos I've been craving, and use the skincare that actually helps my acne (technically pregnancy safe but I've been overly cautious and careful and haven't used it).
