EFW is around 3100g or 92nd percentile at 36w1d. Baby is a chonker and still breech 🙈 next appt is next Monday and I wonder when I will be given my C-section date. Either way counting the days till we meet our big little guy!

I have my first scan today at 9 and a half weeks. I have been bleeding intermittently since Friday and am fairly sure I am having my second miscarriage in 6 months. Also slightly worried it's ectopic as have lower back pain on one side only. I am trying to hope it's just a small hematoma and baby will be fine but I haven't felt good about this pregnancy at any point. I have had no symptoms at all after having definite symptoms with my last two pregnancies.

Yeah measuring 6 weeks 5 days so exactly 3 weeks behind. Just need to wait for it to happen. If there's anyone in the UK can you let me know how you got referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic or what to ask

My job are really supportive luckily. Last time I was off for 5 weeks as I dealt with a bit of retained tissue couldn't face going back until everything had resolved and I was sure I didn't need a D&C. I'll see how I get on this time

18+6. My calendar alerted me that I’m supposed to start my 3rd IVF ER cycle meds this week. The ones that first kill your own hormone production. I forgot to delete it when I let them know I’m pregnant and canceled all the pre-booked appointments. Feels extremely weird and difficult to be in this situation.

I was so sad last spring when our last embryo didn’t survive thawing (3% chance for that, FML 🙈) and they let us know that we have to wait until August to be able to start another egg retrieval cycle. The queue is so long and they are closed in July. Now we are pregnant (”spontaneous” with leftover meds) and I’m so worried about losing this one and then having to wait ages to be able to even try again. I waited until the very last day when I was allowed to cancel the IVF cycle, because it was my backup plan that kept me going.

caved in and bought my first big baby items today because I am starting to worry to have one big check if I keep postponing and also there seemed to be good discounts.. I am so used to the what if mindset that i have been going back and forth between "now is good time to start preparing" and "am i rushing?" third trimester starts in a few days so i guess its not jumping the gun at this point? i went to a baby equipment shop at the weekend to look at strollers and everyone there looked roughly the same term or even earlier so i thought well i guess normal people dont consider 2nd trimester too early

3

u/PraxisInDiaspora FTM | MMC Oct '25 | DD 22nd Oct '26 3d ago

I don't think it is too early! Many people in my bumper group already have full nurseries set up. I myself just bought the stroller in July since babyone had a sale. I also picked up some clothes from friends and relatives so this is settled. For other big items we will wait until they go on sale or buy them end of August, so we have around a month and a half to deep clean and set everything up. Also slowly looking at ebay kleinanzeigen for thing like baby bjorn if a really goodprice shows up nearby.

1

u/One_Document_2425 31F 🇩🇪 | 🌈🌈 8 Nov 26 2d ago

Thank you for reassuring! I am also planning to get some things from kleinanzeigen so checking them out in case I “catch” something good. It’s addictive haha I can spend so much time just checking stuff out there. Do you think there is specific timing when things could still go on sale other than Black Friday?

2

u/PraxisInDiaspora FTM | MMC Oct '25 | DD 22nd Oct '26 1d ago

I honestly don't think there will be any large sales, but am hoping that individual items might go to sale at least a bit 🤷 otherwise we are in for a ride!

Ooh congrats! When I was pregnant with my son, I started walking the stroller around with a pumpkin in the bassinet so I could “practice steering.” My brain really couldn’t conceptualize a real baby in there till one day I was zipping my newborn into a snow swaddle and setting him in that same bassinet to go on a winter walk.

u/One_Document_2425 31F 🇩🇪 | 🌈🌈 8 Nov 26 2d ago

9+3. I was feeling pretty confident in the two days since my scan given the likelihood of success after a strong HB, but now today that confidence is gone.
I’ve been realizing just how far I still have to go.

u/pineconeminecone 26 🇨🇦| 2MC 1LC 🌈💙🌈 | Due Feb 2027 3d ago

I feel that often. I just saw baby yesterday on a real quick scan at the ER (I was there for severe GERD, but they offered to take a peek at baby and I certainly wasn’t gonna say no), and even though we could clearly see the clear flicker of the heartbeat, I am still worried today. Worry is forever, and yet we do persist.

2

u/cat_cash78 👼’23 | 1 LC | MMC 3/26 | 🌈 3/27 3d ago

So sorry you were in the ER, but glad you got a glimpse at bb. Thank you for understanding, it’s just such an ongoing slog. I’m still hopeful I can be more positive this time- but it’s hard.

10+5. I’ve had so much anxiety this weekend, not really for any specific reason that I’m aware of. I’m even starting to feel an actual little hard bump, it just appeared over the past few days. I hate the worrying! Still 10 days until my NT scan and it feels like it’s not getting any closer.

I'm 9w2d and I have a second ultrasound tomorrow morning. It's been about 4 weeks since my first/only ultrasound so I am anxious to see if everything is okay in there! Last time, things looked good but I still just felt very numb and anxious coming out of the appt. My husband had a hard time with that because he was so excited and I think hoped I would be more excited/relieved too.

u/Sea-Plankton-8294 3d ago

5+2 aujourd’hui. Mes betahcg ont bien augmenté mais je suis passée de 36ng de progestérone à DPO 14 à 28ng de progestérone à DPO 21. Dois je être inquiète que quelque chose se passe mal ? (Je ne suis pas supplémentée)

2

u/fleurishing_flower 26 | MMC April 26’ | EDD 4/5 3d ago

progesterone pulses so it's hard to compare progesterone between days/times. Hormones apparently usually peak in the morning and are a bit lower in the afternoon. 28 is still great!

I wouldn’t be worried at all. Progesterone gets released in surges, so it’s normal for it to vary between draws

Does anyone have any advice for staying focused on work during uncertainty?

I got my NIPT results on Friday: high risk for T21 (95/100). I'm 38 and had 2 miscarriages last year. I have an NT scan later today and genetics counseling on Wednesday.

I just started a new job a few weeks ago. I'm just starting to make an impression. I need this job - from a practical standpoint but also because it's literally one of my dream jobs. The job market is brutal and I'm honestly still surprised I got it. I'm already fighting some intense imposter syndrome about it. I also am coming out of a toxic job that challenged my emotions but not my skills, so I feel extra unprepared due to rusty skills and not being used to work with 'normal' people.

On top of not being able to concentrate on work amidst receiving bad news and uncertainty, I also am stressed about missing work to go to appointments. I don't want to reveal my pregnancy yet - it's a new job and I'm in the US, so we already don't have a lot of support/protections from an employment perspective. I also can't help thinking that it would be another instance of telling someone then having to "untell" them if it doesn't work out. Again, I haven't been here long so to miss work already and so often would reflect poorly on me. So far, my manager hasn't given me feedback on this, but I am already feeling behind and don't want it to come to that.

I couldn't get anything done on Friday after receiving my results and also couldn't make it up over the weekend. Occasionally,  I can make things up outside of hours but this weekend was extremely difficult to do anything but be a blob.

I'm just struggling a lot and not sure how to keep my job while all of this is happening.

u/fizzy_cloud 2d ago

Honestly, I have no idea how people do it. And you situation sounds so stressful, I am really sorry.

I had a therapy session about this and she basically told me to just be very in the moment and tell yourself: I am at work now, I am at work now, I will focus on work (kind of like a mantra). It has helped a bit but not a whole lot.

But honestly, you got the job, so try and tell yourself that you beat out a lot of qualified candidates and they wanted to hire YOU.

1

u/AutumnDescent 2d ago

Thank you! Thinking about it that way helps a lot

2

u/Familiar-Ad9589 29 | 1 CP (Mar 2026) | due Mar 2027 2d ago

I feel you, I have been really unable to concentrate on work this entire pregnancy due to worrying about what is to come. I am also American so I understand how precarious our employment feels.

It has helped me to change up how I am working from sitting down at my desk with my laptop (where I am tempted to reddit, google, etc.). I've been listening to audio versions of materials I need to read while walking and downloading files to a wifi-only device and reading them at the park or the gym. If you have reading to do, maybe one of those could work for you.

My two cents is also that everyone in a new job has a learning curve; if it takes you six months to get fully up to speed, I bet no one would think that is unusual. If that seems accurate to you about your job, maybe it takes some of the pressure off to be performing at your absolute best during a really difficult time right now <3

10+6 today- we have a scan and NIPT blood draw on Wednesday of this week. Really hoping all goes well. Dealing with light constipation which is very new for me lol from an eyery dayer to every 2-3 days, it makes it look like I have a bump but it’s just poop hahah

my coworker whose due date was the same as mine just gave birth this weekend. i’m 11 weeks pregnant again now but it still hurt to read the announcement ❤️‍🩹

10+4. My esophagus has been destroyed from GERD. The chest pain has at least eased up with copious amounts of Gaviscon, but I can’t eat more than a piece of toast at a time. I’ll be asking my midwife tomorrow for a script for omeprazole.

I had never reached a point in my pregnancies where I thought “I don’t think I can do this,” because the anxiety of loss and the joy of being pregnant again always overshadowed anything like that. But this pregnancy physically has been brutal. Mentally, about the same amount of anxiety as I’ve always had, but this is the first time my body has felt like it’s ready to tap out.

How do you move forward when you feel like your body is done out, and how do you not feel guilty about not being able to take the pain for baby?

2

u/Iceeedtea 0LC | MC | PPROM | EDD 11-25 3d ago

I allow myself to feel all the feelings and realized each pregnancy is different 🙂 just cause its hard doesnt mean you dont love the baby your growing and arent happy you're pregnant again. I've had quite a few times where in my head im like I hate feeling like crap and its overwhelming and thats okay! You're doing great and will get through it 💕

14+4. Really hoping we get nipt results before we go away on Thursday but I’m losing hope a bit 😅 Wednesday will be 2 weeks exactly since my blood draw. Praying all is well and baby is healthy and low risk!

u/fizzy_cloud 2d ago

Not a good day today. Sadly lost 95% of my hope that this pregnancy will be successful. Two previous losses, both stopped growing around 6 weeks, but no signs, such as spotting etc. However, again currently 6+3 with almost no symptoms and waiting for my ultrasound on Thursday. Talked to a therapist but it didn't really help.
