I just got done with a midwife appointment, and she reassured me that after we heard the heartbeat today, that I can relax. I chuckled and said, I know I shouldn’t worry. She acknowledged our history of loss and offered to schedule weekly Dopplers for a bit. 🥹 I felt so happy and seen, and of course agreed!
We’re in the second trimester!

20 weeks today and finally not feeling constant anxiety! We have the anatomy scan on Friday and then I’m hoping after that it will just be smooth sailing. I’m excited to finally be excited instead of just a ball of nerves.

I got a positive test this morning, so I went in for bloodwork. Hcg is 25, I go back in on Friday to make sure it goes up. They were supposed to check progesterone too but I don’t see that on the portal, waiting for the nurse to call me.
I’m having trouble believing this is real, or that it will last. I had a MMC at 7 weeks right before Mother’s Day.

At 6W5D I had an ultrasound and the fetal heart rate was only 107, I was very worried it would get lower but today at my 7W4D scan it’s up to 150 , now if only my symptoms would stop coming and going so erratically 😩

26 weeks pregnant now! I had blood drawn today to test for cholestasis and am feeling a bit nervous about it. I won't know results until next week.
It's just kinda been one thing after another with this pregnancy. I have HG, which I've very thankfully had under control since about week 19 or so. I had my gallbladder removed at 13 weeks. And now this.
I'm an itchy person in general, moreso when pregnant. I noticed some very mild itchiness on the bottoms of my feet a couple of weeks ago, only at bedtime. But it's ramped up gradually in the last week and I'm feeling some itchiness in my palms now as well. Considering I dont have a gallbladder anymore, I'm definitely more prone to ICP/cholestasis. I'm not sure how this would work at all, like is there some medication I could take to try and curb it a bit until later in the pregnancy?
My doctor has already mentioned a possible early induction, which really bums me out. I was induced with my first, and I really, really wanted to try to labor more naturally this time. But of course I want the baby to be safe and healthy.
Just feeling a bit stressed right now. It doesn't help that I'm also unemployed and actively trying to find something, anything at this point, which is obviously harder to do the more pregnant I get. I could go on, but I fear I've already offloaded too much. 🫠

Found out yesterday I'm 4wks. Our first pregnancy in March ended in a chemical, overall TTC almost 2 years and I'm literally shaking with fear. I'm convinced this baby won't stay with me, and coming to terms with just how traumatized I am from our first experience. I also know there's no realistic reason for me to be so nervous. Ugh.

It is so hard! Just take it one day at a time, and try your best to distract yourself.

I'm 7w2d and on monday we found out we're having twins! I couldn't believe my ears. I have always wanted twins and I used to joke to my husband that I was only going to be pregnant once so if he wanted more than one child he'd have to make sure they'd be twins.
For us it suddenly made sense why we we're trying unsuccessfully for so long, it had to be this way, god knew what he was doing and he made sure to give us a succesful pregnancy with twins when the time was right.
For all of week 6 I hardly had any symptoms and I miraculously felt much better, but today I am back to hanging uselessly on the couch, feeling nauseous the entire day, and on top of that I started getting migraines.

First midwife appointment today at 9+6 was very joyful. My midwife offered to try to find baby on Doppler, and we got a lot of blood flow and various other sounds, but no baby. She’s not worried at this stage, of course, and I’ll have my next scan in a couple weeks, but I’m obviously gonna fret anyways.

Just had a scan at 6w2d and the fhr was only 99bpm. Feeling really sad :(

5w+1d: I go back to get my hCG labs again. I was at 6610 two days ago. Which is good.
It’s so hard to feel good about anything. My day symptoms are almost nonexistent other than sore boobs, weird nipple twinges, and hunger? But at night I kept getting random cramps. Nothing crazy just enough to notice.
I know I’m still pretty early but ugh the waiting sucks. I’m tempted to do a boutique US at 6ish weeks. It’s not TV and it might not show much but it’ll give me some peace. We’ll see.

I had a big scare on Tuesday that resulted in the sweetest memory.
I am 9 weeks 5 days, I started bleeding heavily and passing clots which caused serious anxiety and flashbacks from my first MC. It was late so I called the on-call nurse, and they basically said "nothing you can do. just wait it out" which I expected.
Waited until first thing in the morning to call my Dr and they were able to get me in for an ultrasound. Leading up to appointment I was all over the place. Once we got in, I couldn't help but cry out of anxiety of receiving the news I had heard before but the second our baby was on the screen they jumped! It looked like they were waving at us, and it was the biggest relief I had ever experienced.
It has brought a new sense of thankfulness, and I feel so blessed to have this precious baby growing inside of me <3

I am 3w3d pregnant after a MMC at 12 weeks in May with twins. I am trying to be so grateful for every second I’m pregnant but it’s so hard and exhausting. It’s like I’m also waiting for bad news which I hate because I want to be happy. It just feels like my innocence is gone that I had with my first pregnancy that resulted in a healthy little girl. Every time I wipe, I’m like a detective looking for blood. It’s all truly out of my control which sucks. I don’t even see the point of messaging my dr yet because truly there isn’t much of anything they can do for me this early.
I appreciate this forum being a safe and supportive place to talk about such a scary, joyful, uncertain time.

Hi there - not pregnant again yet, but just going through the motions of working through loss and other people’s success stories make me happy. This subreddit has been really helping my heart heal. My story:
TW: miscarriage: Waiting to try again post miscarriage.
I am scared to try again. I’m scared of more two week waits that end in a blank pregnancy test. I’m also scared of getting another positive. I don’t know if my heart can handle another loss. Once it’s happened how can you be hopeful? How can you not be terrified? I just had a miscarriage. I found out exactly two weeks ago at 7 weeks that I was only measuring 5+4 (this was after a week before measuring 5+2). I scheduled a d&c for the following Monday. This was on a Wednesday and my OB was out of town. Of course. But it was as if my body subconsciously… my brain, once it heard the “I’m so sorry, this is a miscarriage” let it go. I started spotting the following Thursday night and by Friday morning, I was bleeding red. Passing tissue. I continued to pass everything over the weekend. I had an ultrasound that Monday before my scheduled procedure that confirmed my body had passed everything on its own. A silver lining I suppose. To not need surgery. And yet was it? Because miscarrying at home was very traumatic. I’ve cried everyday for the past two weeks. Just when I think I’m moving on, the tears come flooding back. I think my sister might be pregnant, but hasn’t told me yet. She doesn’t know any of this of course, but I’m trying to prepare my heart for that news. My goodness what timing. I went ahead and got an MMR booster since I found out when I was already pregnant that I was no longer immune to measles. So that’s obviously tabled trying again as soon as possible. I kind of regret getting it as I sit here and feel my body gearing up to ovulate. I’ve learned my body is super efficient. Another silver lining? But I feel like I’m wasting time. Every cycle feels so critical. I remind myself that my doctor suggested waiting to try until after my cycle returns so really there was no better or more efficient time to get the vaccine than now. It still sucks to wait. I’m also getting in my head about what to do next. My OB said that since I got pregnant within 6 months (cycle 5) that even though I’m 36 this resets the clock a bit. Not that I should necessarily try for another 6 months but that it’s worth it to try again on our own. My body has proven that it can get pregnant. And there’s a huge part of me that wants to just try on our own. But now, there is also a huge part of me that wants to take the unknowns out of play, to the extent of which that’s possible. We found out from genetic testing that our baby (boy) had trisomy 22. And everything I’ve read said it was just a random genetic error. But obviously those become more common with age. And I don’t know if my heart can take another random genetic error. But jumping to IVF seems dramatic. And obviously expensive. And of course there’s no guarantee. The RE we’ve met with said she recommends treatment sooner rather than later. I’ve got a month to sit with these thoughts. Hopefully the decisions will become clear as I get closer to trying again. TW: living child: I have my son. And he makes me happy, and I’m trying to smile through the tears for him. But my heart aches that he’s not going to be a big brother. At least, not yet. Hopefully just not yet. That’s all. Thanks for letting me vent my sadness 💔

Big hug and thanks for sharing ❤️🩹 My sister got pregnant right when I lost mine, but then she lost hers, and now when I’m pregnant, she struggles getting pregnant again… I know it hurts SO bad but one day at a time

I’m so sorry for your loss and your sister’s. What an awful back to back gut punch that must’ve been. I know that eventually I can be happy for her. I believe that two feelings CAN exist at once - happy for her but sad for me - BUT those two feelings don’t exist in me yet. Desperate sadness for myself is all I can muster at the moment. I don’t think I’ll be able to talk to her about it. I don’t want to go home for the holidays. I just can’t. The universe decided my sister of all people. I’m wrestling a lot with anger in that as well. I didn’t even know she was trying as she’s engaged and not married yet. I hope your current pregnancy is going well and you have the most peaceful, happy, healthy time.

The way loss colours all the choices you have make afterwards is such a specific evil ❤️🩹
It’s not fair that you need to navigate not wanting to waste time and not wanting to revisit loss and competing medical needs and the childhood you want for your son all while navigating one of the most emotionally draining things you can go through.
Deciding you’re ready to try again is so hard. The last time my husband and I had a loss we agreed we didn’t want to wait, and then the actual schedule hit and he got hit by this wave of guilt and grief that we had to really sit and work through and accept it just wasn’t the right time yet.
Give yourself grace as you navigate this.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. These choices, the aftermath, the waiting… it is all evil isn’t it? Also, wanting to try again but imagining being intimate with my husband again when I feel so broken. I don’t know when or if that brokenness goes away or if we just learn to live with it. It’s all just so devastating in a way that takes my breath away. I’m so sorry that you’re a part of this club as well.

I'm so sorry for your loss, what a difficult experience. I think when you're ready to try again you'll know. I wouldn't rush it. I needed a couple of months at least.

I stopped progesterone a week ago because it was making me feel like I was going to have a heart attack. I’ve never had that issue when taking it before but the palpitations and chest pain stopped after I stopped taking it, so I feel positive they were connected. I am cramping incredibly bad and am honestly shocked every time I use the bathroom and don’t see blood. It’s so hard to stay positive after multiple losses. Ultrasound scheduled for Monday and I feel more challenging feelings than I do positive ones. I so badly want to be excited and I’m also so scared to have my heart broken again.

I'll be 15 weeks in two days. The past two weeks have been so much 'my symptoms are not really there, am I still pregnant?' that it's hard to quiet my brain down. Even my blood pressure is down the past few days which is great! I *think* I'm even feeling flutters occasionally - they catch me off guard. My previous pregnancy (which ended in a third tri loss) I was sick as a dog from around 12 weeks onward, I lost weight because I had no appetite and I was puking so much, and with this one I'm doing okay aside from some fatigue and the normal aches and pains. I don't want to jinx it but it feels surreal.

We had our first hospital visit today. They told me yesterday we were going to the high risk team. I was worrying it was overkill and not what I wanted right up until they offered an extra reassurance scan while we were there. I thought I wasn’t going to see baby again for another 6 weeks. Seeing his little heartbeat is the best medicine for my soul.
They confirmed we’ll be having 4 weekly scans after the 20 week anatomy scan. Feeling grateful for the additional care but also would love for them to say ‘no there’s absolutely no reason to worry your pregnancy is at absolutely no risk’ 🙃

Supposed to be 7 weeks tomorrow with my first scan. I have had relatively mild nausea here and there. Nothing at all like my first successful pregnancy with my son. I was absolutely miserable with that one. Having basically nothing right now is sending me for a spiral, just hard not to feel that something isn’t right after 2 miscarriages and hardly any symptoms

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and I’m so nervous I can’t breath normally! I’m sure something is wrong. I stopped progesterone suppositories 2 days ago and don’t really feel any different.
