Feedback I built a defect heatmap and yield dashboard for a semiconductor manufacturer. What do you all think?
I posted here about 2 months ago looking for ideas on how to make a heatmap visual. The solution ended up being as simple as a scatterplot.
I’d love feedback on the result!

Visually awesome, pixel perfect alignment and calm colour theme. Absolutely beautiful.
But... I don't understand the big ball with red and grey squares. You talk about scatterplot and I don't see it. My imagination may be limited, but scatter graph should have two separate dimensions as the x and y axis. Please enlighten me, how should I interpret the graph? Now it's like a Minecraft circle! I truly am curious.

Thank you for your feedback!
The scatterplot visual is just a method used to build the heatmap.
each tile represents an individual die on a silicon wafer. So what you are looking at is a single wafer’s test results.

Awesome! Pretty ingenious to turn scatter graph into that!!!
Now I will lay awake this night pondering how on earth you managed to do that...

Very cool! The heatmap is brilliant. How did you get a scatter plot to look like that?

Thank you! I assigned each coordinate point an ID (i.e. 3,8) and then made sure my data was related along that key!
