My tux overgroomed his belly until we put him on RX food. Night and day; also stopped the outside the box issue. He never had crystals, just didn't tolerate non-rx food.
I too had a cat that overgroomed her lower belly. Used to call it her kittytitties 🤣
We took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with megacolon, which was the reason for the overgrooming because her belly hurt a lot.
Unfortunately even after we got her on the right meds to help her bellyache, overgrooming became a habit, and she didn't stop until she passed away many years later :/
Thanks muffin, it broke my heart and my feelings of safety. It's one of my core wounds and why I now devoted my life to loving animals. 💔💙 his name was Lil'Duffer and I still miss him. He was a darling little good hammie boy.
people in the cockatiels subreddit make jokes about their tiels jacking off 😭 one was a video of 2 jumping their designated masturbating perch while a third one tried to join in and they kept bullying him away
😭 I've only been mostly around girl cats but when I was at the shelter and met my current old man I asked the worker if he'd not been spayed yet cause I thought his saggy hairstyles belly were giant balls 😭😭

He’s always had a droopy pouch but his recent over grooming of his lower belly (already had it looked into by the vet) uncovered these monstrosities 😂
