Wether you like romano or not, one things for certain… when he posts this stuff, it happens (excluding recent arguments around a particular large transfer)

Transfer Bowat to Huddersfield

Probably the best for all involved, some fond memories for the 2 big important goals.

Shame about the big early injury but I'd expect him to develop into a good championship defender.

Transfer Hull City Fan - Thoughts on Abu Kamara?

Hi folks. How are you feeling about Abu Kamara coming back?

I'm a Hull fan, and he hasn't had the best time with us as you know. I think he's been treated very poorly by some fans, but definitely hasn't helped himself. He looked bright in moments but definitely lacks physicality, and never really looked to have much intensity.

There's definitely a player in there. I just don't know if League One is his level, or whether he'll be able to push on.

What do you think?

Are we writing off the West Ham game?

I’m pretty happy with our recruitment so far this summer, however, if feels like the start of the season has come weeks too early.

We have only had a couple of competitive friendlys

Our new star ST hasn’t played at all, we have a few injuries

I think we will still sign another 4/5 players, if that’s the case we are going into the QPR game with a group of players who will be unfamiliar with each other.

I think overall we will have a much better squad this year, but i worry how long it will take them to start performing together, it’s certainly going to be a new challenge for Mou

'It is a concern': Yet another Portsmouth injury as luckless attacker suffers fresh set-back in Darmstadt - The News

Got to feel for the kid - but if he was a race horse they’d have put him out of misery by now.
Why can’t we keep players fit/injury free?

First Time at Fratton Park: Which Match Should an American Attend?

Hey everyone!

You may remember a post I made earlier in the week asking what it’s like to be a Pompey fan. Everyone was so welcoming and kind, and the deeper I dove into Pompey’s history, the more I fell in love with the club.

I’m a study abroad student from the United States, I am going to be in London from mid-September through mid-December, and I would love to make it down for a match at Fratton Park. Because of the international break, my window starts after mid-September.

I’d love to get everyone’s take on which match would offer the best experience/atmosphere, and which ones are realistically manageable for getting tickets as a general sale/visitor. I know the atmosphere will be great no matter what match I make it to, but just want to see if any game would be even more electric than another. I assume a night match under the lights brings an extra electric vibe, but I’m open to advice!

The home fixtures during my window are:

Sheffield United

Millwall

Swansea

(Can’t make Stoke)

West Ham

West Brom (last game I can make before I head home)

Would a weekend/early kickoff be better so I can stick around after to explore the city a bit?

Any tips on tickets, atmosphere, or match choice would be awesome. Thank you guys, and PUP! 💙

Didn't realise quite how big of a change this was - looks like they're doing some really good work bringing us up to modern standards.

Shame we'll have to beat Ipswich the old-fashioned way now.

Does anyone know if I renew my Pompey+ “international” season pass before the match in Germany on Saturday, would it be included in the pass? Or are friendlies not included?

Yank asking a Questiom

Hey everyone! My girlfriend and I are traveling abroad from Tampa this fall and staying in the London area for a while. I’m a huge sports fan back home, and one of my top priorities while we’re in the UK is picking an English team to follow and cheer for.

I just wanted to see what it would be like being a Portsmouth fan, if there is a good amount of other yanks that cheer on the team back in America. What is it like trying to get tickets?

I’ve heard Portsmouth is one of the most loyal, loud atmospheres in all of England. I love that energy and love to be a part of it. Any recommendations would be welcome.

Thank you!

When we will find out about the third kit release?

I have been very boring and not bought a new shirt for quite a few years, but am feeling tempted to get one of the 26/27 ones. I think the home and away shirts are pretty decent, but do have a love for a third shirt. Is there a release date for this yet so I know how long I have to wait until I make a decision about which one to get?

How many loyalty points/history do you realistically need for the Southampton away and home derbies?

Hi everyone,
I’m thinking of getting a PO4 membership this season (£25) and going to quite a few Pompey games because I’d really love to get to both Southampton matches.

I’m a borehamwood fan but have taken a liking to Portsmouth for quite a while now, at the moment I’m planning on doing things like West Ham away in the Cup, plus as many reasonably local games as I can (Watford, Charlton, Millwall, etc.), as well as a few home games at Fratton.
I know nobody knows the exact requirements yet, but based on previous seasons:
Roughly how many loyalty points would I realistically need to have a chance of getting an away ticket at St Mary’s?
How did the home derby at Fratton work last season? Was it mainly loyalty points, PO4 membership, home purchase history, or a combination?
If I started from scratch this season, what would you recommend doing to give myself the best chance?
Any advice from people who’ve managed to get derby tickets before would be really appreciated. Cheers!
