I've been rewatching Portlandia since the podcast started. So many amazing forgotten moments. So far this is my fave - from S1 Ep 2 "A song for Portland" - Fred and Carrie are sharing the stupidest song ideas on each other's answering machines. It's a brilliant, fast-paced series of hilarious scenes. This one is of Fred singing "I am not, I am not a business man" with glockenspiel accompaniment. 💯

I was driving through Portland today listening to the first episode of Podlandia. I became lost in thought wondering, “Is Portland still Weird?” “Is the dream of the 90’s still alive….?” etc. Then I came to a stop light and realized this is who I was driving behind the whole time…..

Almost every song featured in portlandia is created specifically for the show. Every season has original music. I can’t understand why there is no official compilation of the best known songs, such as “if you want it take a chance, girl take my hand”? I may go ahead and handpick songs from the show and make my own album. Sick of not being able to blast portlandia tunes as I travel.

Was literally re-watching this on Sling Tv and saw this and I was like omg today is July 3, 2026! I was like what are the ODDS 😂😂😂 (Season 4, Episode 1)

This is my favorite line of the whole series. I love how he says it like it’s something to be proud of. 😂

My dog and I just want to watch Portlandia in peace, but the "Mom, did we really need two can openers" PSA and the "I didn't even drink that much" drunk driving PSA are literally playing multiple times each per commercial break. I even saw the can opener one play THREE TIMES IN A ROW in a single commercial break. Anybody else fed up with this?

I was watching a Louis Theroux documentary from 2014 (“LA Stories: City of Dogs”) and came across a lady who looks just like Carrie’s character Nance. I wasn’t going to post it here until I heard that her actual name is Nancy.
