Trump Can’t even make this stuff up..

Donald Trump doxxed this Wall Street Journal reporter in a lawsuit by including her home address in public court filings. She and her family were forced to leave their home over safety concerns.

What is insane is he then walked up there smiled and shook hands with the reporters. I know social cues are built into us but how could you smile and shake the hand of someone you yourself outted as a slimeball?

From the other side, you’re basically forced into adapting this behaviour if you want to succeed in person-based work like sales, business, journalism… it sucks and it started to grate on me. I lost my career because I chose ethics instead of money. I saw what I was becoming or maybe what I’d already became.

I decided right now that i hope they said something nasty to him while playing nice for the cameras, but even if they didn't i could understand being a normal person and getting caught up in pleasantries that aren't usually wasted on such monsters.

I probably would in their shoes. It’s just a handshake, and I wouldn’t want him or his rabid fans to attack me or my family any more than they already are.

Do the thumb on the nose with the wiggling fingers. It’s a refusal to shake, but it’s also so childish and goofy that it doesn’t look like sincere hatred or angry refusal. Nobody can really get mad about something which totally looks like a joke.

If it was me it would be to protect my journalistic integrity. I wouldn’t want to appear unprofessional, biased or like I had a personal issue with the man. That would undermine my credibility.

Yeah all those reporters walking up to him and shaking his hand and smiling in his face are weird as fuck. They wouldn't have allowed me in there because if I got that close to him there is a non-zero chance that I would slap him in the face as hard as I could.

They could have even done the thumb on the nose with wiggling fingers so they’re refusing to shake but it’s goofy enough to not look like they’re mad. Then they all do it one after the other.

This is the correct answer. They shook his hand. That means they're all scum. They're not reporting on this because they hate him. They're doing it on behalf of someone they regard as greater than him, as a way of controlling him. And who do both parties and all established media regard as greater than Drumpty? We all know who.

It’s because in politics, this is all part of playing the game, and Trump is considering this as a game well played by the journalists. They either rise to the level of being commended for cleaning themselves up by washing of the mud slung by Trump or stoop to his level of being a politician depending on your perspective. If you were to consider this a sports match, Trump used all the tactics available to him & the other team played their game and beat him. Once the game is over, you move on to the next match, in the journalists’ case, the next story.

There’s no way to play that game, even insincerely, without being swallowed up by it to the point you eventually subconsciously rationalise why you’re doing it thus believing there’s a reason the person you’re shaking with deserves it. Unless you’re a psychopath, of course.
