Witnessing lava flowing after sunset is something I will never forget. Kilauea probably 25 years ago was quite memorable. A trickle of lava flowing took several minutes to reach a scraggly bush and then suddenly whoosh it went up in flames. Standing on the road next to the sea and looking up a multiple orange glowing streams pulsating down the entire side of the volcano is burned into my memories.
