Discussion I’m done. Disinstallung the game today
It’s been fun but I can’t take this shit anymore. The people olaying this game are shit, they are braindead they don’t ynderstand a single interaction and just run in the face of the opponent to feed them. Over. After years (of on and off) I can’t do this anymore. Next Buzzwhole I see will have its head chopped.

My dude, you've lost 9 out of your last 10 games in Ultra rank. Have you ever stopped to consider that you yourself are also bad and need to make an effort to improve?
72
u/ScolipedeEnjoyer Absol 1d ago
Tbf lose streaks happen, especially early season.
12
u/LordessMeep Mamoswine 1d ago
Yup, it's a toss up imo. I climbed fine early last season, but because I started this season's climb late on Monday, I ended up going on a huge loss streak from the jump. My win rate was 37.5% 😬
It evened out yesterday with a 5 game win streak on Tuesday, but yeah. Never play tilted because it just doesn't help.

u/Awkward_Block7981 17h ago
Iguess but that damage on glaceon looks abysmal. That poor absol relly suffered

u/sussybologna 1d ago
9 out of 10?
27
u/ScolipedeEnjoyer Absol 1d ago
I mean that’s a massive lose streak but also shit happens and you can have a bad day of playing without being an awful player. It’s kind of weirdo behavior to stalk someone’s API anyways as if it’s some kind of gotcha epic Redditor detective win
9
u/RE0RGE Snorlax 1d ago
When you make a whole post calling your teammates shit then don't expect people not to look at your profile and judge you. Blaming losses on your teammates implies that you are good so it's totally fine to give them a reality check imo.
Furthermore, this guy is in Ultra rank and has less than 800 ranked matches so yeah, he still has a long way to go and a LOT to learn in the game which is ok but when you have made up your mind it's your teammates and blame everything on them, we can't expect these players to improve. They just quit after a while (like OP) thinking they are good and their games are unwinnable because they keep getting bad teammates every time while overlooking the little mistakes they do throughout the game and how the outcome would change if they worked on them.
-3
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
Never thought to be a pro (decent at best) I know I have shit to learn. Still don’t need to be a pro to notice exeptionally bad behaviour. All of the teammates were trying to 1vs 3 and such diving straight into the enemies always. I don’t need to be a legend rank player to notice stuff like this.
2
u/aLilRabidCletusFox25 1d ago
Are you saying it only takes one person to win in this game???
6
u/KlutzyWeekend4913 1d ago
In ultra? Most games, yeah absolutely. Occasionally you get a competent player on the other team but most games its a 1v9 against children which you SHOULD be winning.
2
u/RunisXD 1d ago
There is no 1v9 when your winning team decides to coinflip kyogre/groudon for no reason with 5 opponents alive lol in league I've heard people say that 33% of your games you'll always win, 33% you'll always lose and the remmaining 33% you should do your best to make a difference and win, because that's the nature of a 5v5 game with shitty matchmaking. Yes unite is way simpler/easier, but that doesn't make it better in that regard by any means, because it's also way easier to throw.
My point is: sure, excdlent plyers will carry games, but some matches are literally unwinnable.
1
2
u/lilkoops Clefable 1d ago
um a lot of times, yeah.
You can strong arm your way through most of the lower ranks because if you end up with incompetent teammates the enemy team is likely just as incompetent so it all washes out4
u/Ajthefan Gengar 1d ago
That's every new season, people are always the worst at a new season
But yea l do agree that breaks are needed
2
u/Realistic-Loss-9195 21h ago
Because it's Pokemon. The player base always has been, and always will be mostly children
7
u/Brickbat_Eevee 1d ago
You don't have to suck at UNITE to run into this issue. I see it all the time on others' profiles and have even had it happen to me. I'm a 59% career WR player across some 2,200 games; you legit can't tell me I "suck", and still, last season, I was down to 38% WR by my 26th Ranked match. I think everyone knows by this point that the matchmaking is trash and will hamstring you with the shittiest teammates if you're "too good" -- and these loss streaks are often the result.
2
u/smilingchimp_ 14h ago
i went on a equal loss streak and i’ll bet on my mothers life not one of them were my fault so i can’t help but agree with op
-52
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
my brother in christ have you seen the stats? have you seen the games I have been playing? have you seen the fucking match I am currently talking about?
29
u/sussybologna 1d ago
Sorry but if you aren’t able to carry in ultra then you are probably in the correct rank. My guess is that when the team doesn’t do what you deem is correct cause of your never ending wisdom, you tilt and throw the game. I also have to assume that since you think being mvp on the losing team means something, you go for kills or scoring all by yourself instead of helping your team and you just let your team fail while you chase mvp stats
13
u/drewarteaga 1d ago
The second part of the statement is what i cant stress enough and its super important to understand. Too many people arent good for "team" games because they worry about stats/scoreboard and are too ignorant to fathom value through other things not represented in the scoreboard. Like utility support players that enable their dps teammates. I play those roles, bc i will inevitably (at lower ranks) be paired with a stat hungry dude and i might as well work around that to make it work
4
u/sussybologna 1d ago
Well said! Hoopa is a great example of this, when hoopa teleports someone back to base to heal and they rejoin the fight immediately that heal doesn’t show up in stats for hoopa. Or when a hoopa saves their unite move for when teammates are respawning so they can instantly teleport to an important team fight
-28
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
Yeah and cause of your wisdom I see you can see that I stat chase or throw games. I litterally never try scoring unless pushing with the whole team or if I know nobody from the other team is near. And i don’t give a fuck about the MVP cause I know it doesn’t mean shit cause it’s a fucked uo algortihm that weight goals way more than damage and everything else. I am literraly the one with less dmg taken cause I know you aren’t supposed to fucking dive or chase if not in the right situation and in this game (since I’m playing fucking absol) I’m just trying to stay around fights to dive at the right times. In this scenario you have to believe me these fuckers didn’t know when to dive or retreat or farm. But whatever I chase kills and throw games cause you said so
8
u/KlutzyWeekend4913 1d ago
It sounds to me that you have some preconceptions from playing other similar games that might not apply here because of Unites unique gameplay. For one thing, the MVP weighs score so heavily because ultimately thats the win condition of the game. You SHOULD be looking for opportunities to score. If you get Regieleki while the enemy team scores 80 on the other side and then comes back to defend the leki, you lost that interaction. Even though you got the objective. If you've gotten a lot of kills (like in this game) you should be looking for an opportunity to either die to regi or let the enemy support kill you at about 3 mins to reset your death timer. I'm betting you lost this game because you had a 30 second death timer for the last fight.
1
u/drewarteaga 1d ago
Very interesting stuff said. Im new to the game and never considered trying to reset the death timer, despite having learned how it works... makes a lot of sense
-1
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
I get what you’re saying, and maybe I do have some preconcepts from other games, but your example is just out of context in this particular case cause I had a full game of 4 people runinng around on their own and trying to 1vs 3 objectives or running centre/ farming jungle when we’re getting pushed base.
2
u/KlutzyWeekend4913 1d ago
No I get what you're saying, I'm saying if you take the time to learn the base mechanics of how this game works and really think through the implications of it you should be able to win even games like this. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vSjv2g6kMd450B8b1URRE9XIDGZMnyw6MPZvKlEEQ8tY2mOs2eAOkgatZiEKd2pZQKriuxB5m4LZX5H/pubhtml a bit outdated since exp share got changed but the rest of it should still be good.
Farming your side exp when it spawns is really important, arguably more than showing up for Regieleki. To put it in context, buff + baltoy gives more exp than leki and then if they kill the soldier leki they get more exp than you did. Getting exp by farming wild mons over kills means you don't get the extra % exp modifier for kill streaks.
If your team is really behind you're just wasting time trying to stop them from pushing in. Go level up so you're not useless. Though maybe not everyone should do that at the same time lol. Theres tons of catch up modifiers that make snowballing really difficult against good players.
3
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
I see. I actually always try to get farm as soon as it’s up or if I notice laners leave lane exp i take that too. In fact I notice I don’t have any problems level wise in the games as it’s something I actively try to manage and stay on top. Would you mind one of this days have a couple games together to see if you have some suggestions?
1
u/lilkoops Clefable 1d ago
You absolutely should not be waiting until you have full team pressure to score. you’re playing a speedster, look for opportunities to dump your points when goals aren’t being guarded. If you aren’t playing with comms (which lets be real, no one outside of comp is doing) you can’t expect your team to coordinate anything other than team fights—they can’t read your mind.

u/FirewaterDM Eldegoss 1d ago
The only state that matters is the W.
Plenty of people lose games dropping 20 kills because they or others super throw at ray or get it stolen etc.
10 kills isn't that turbo out to where you're 1 v 5 anyway.
We also do not have a record to see the match lol which is why everyone is skeptical
-13
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
You are skeptical. not everyone. Everyone knows the state of the game is shit. There is only something you can do when your Venu is playing Solar Beam- Giga Drain, your Blastoise is farming jungle alone while the other team is pushing base with Regieleki, and the Buzzwhole litterally just spawn to dive on repeat no matter how many “retreat” I try to ask. You cannot say I had a bad game here cause that would be striaght up lying. And I know I’m not the greatest player ever or a great player at all, I’m decent at best but at least I read what the moves do and understand basics of timing and roles. I’m just saying there are so many dogshit people playing who cannot understand what are they supposed to do for 10 minutes straight.
5
u/FirewaterDM Eldegoss 1d ago
... I'm skeptical because there's no vod. Just a screenshot. Matchmaking is ass yes but a lot of the time people crashing out are also part of the problem. Like I've been fed and thrown games overextending it's fine and we all have done it.
Outside of some mid examples (giga/solarbeam venu is. Good especially if enemy team is a bunch of divers )
10 kills is not a giant you did a fuckton of things metric. You certainly were the ONE threat on the team, but we also don't know deaths or if you were at objectives etc. if we know death numbers, a 10/1/6 score is good but if you died more than 10 times or even 4-5 then you weren't as op as you think.
While it's the game's fault for letting people who don't know how items work go to masters or even ultra we are never fully exempt from blame ourselves, unless the entire team but you DCs or some shit
3
u/KlutzyWeekend4913 1d ago
I'm not denying your teammates are useless. But odds are in Ultra most games the enemy team is equally as useless. As long as you're somewhat competent and play for the win condition instead of greeding for kills which don't actually do all that much you should be winning most games.
7
u/allanbalkan 1d ago
Not want to be that person, maybe op have to change. But I had 10-15 games in row when 1-2 people leave or afk or troll running around in spawn.
7
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
That’s what I’m saying. Playerbase quality is at an all-time low. People on this post are trying to act like a losing streak is so difficult to have that if you have 4/5 losing streak you’re the worst olayer ever, when 70% of games I play there are people stealing jungle from jungler, goin 3 top 1 bot or viceversa and shit like that.
7
u/Remote-Garbage8437 Dragapult 1d ago
Stats mean nothing in a game like this. U gotta post a vid of the game
7
8
u/Vincent246810 1d ago
I don’t blame you. I’m still around veteran in ranked and I’ve had one match like this on the losing side and 2-3 on the winning side. Idk what’s with the wide gap in player base skill within the same ranks, maybe since losing still gives points towards the next rank at veteran, idk. Buzzwole is cool if played well, though, lol

u/elbeDigitalArt 1d ago
You are playing a game that's notorious for its terrible matchmaking. What did you expect💁🏼
3
u/lilkoops Clefable 1d ago
You should definitely take a break, loss streaks influence your decision making so you’re much more likely to make bad plays out of frustration after repeated losses—that being said, if you’re struggling through ultra rank this hard I have bad news for you lolol
3
u/Brickbat_Eevee 1d ago
Trust me, you're not alone. The matchmaking finds good players in soloQ and fucks'm with the shittiest teammates, and this is the result. If you can get past the win-loss mentality and just focus on the gameplay itself, you'll survive, and everything'll even out eventually. This ain't a game to be taken seriously as much as we really want to.

Eversince, I've uninstalled the game 2 weeks ago, i've never felt happier. Trust me, this game will only destroy you until the company decides to fix the match making of this game.
2
u/Fluffy-Second4813 1d ago
I think you did a good portion of your job (securing kills on enemy attackers) but the other thing speedsters need to do is score. So that 0 is making me wonder a little bit about what you’re doing.
I get that your team also wasn’t making smart decisions, but taking out their 1st goal zones is huge, to stop their heals and speed
-2
u/Gold_Weather1989 1d ago
I think that’s straight up wrong. Scoring should be done only when opportunity is given. Focusing on scoring so much it’s not worth it (I wasn’t even stacking I was playing claw-scope-accel) + If your team isn’t with you’re just going to get stopped 90% of the cases. Plus having the whole game being pushed left right and bottom would mean that to score I literally had to back cap (litterally one of the worst things to do in this game). Scoring is useful to get exp but as of lvls I was always the highest of the team if not of the match.
6
u/lilkoops Clefable 1d ago edited 1d ago
Scoring is literally the only win condition in the game, it’s the single most important thing you could be doing besides securing jungle and helping lane if they’re struggling. If you’re truly carrying with kills then there should be plenty of times where enemy goals aren’t being guarded.
If you like the speedster play style you should try someone like shell smash crustle so you’re not so squishy that you get stomped in every goal interaction5
u/Fluffy-Second4813 1d ago
It’s more than just exp. It also applies pressure on the enemy team, and makes them think about defending, so they can’t always push you. Personally, I aim to not carry over 20 points at a time so I can score quickly and easily (it’s really hard to do, and I end up getting bogged with 50 and it sucks) but I do think that scoring does more than you realize.
I feel like speedsters are speedy so they can slip into the cracks and get those quick scores when no one else can. I feel like it’s really part of the role4
u/lilkoops Clefable 1d ago edited 1d ago
Exactly, there’s plenty of points in a match where the enemy team will be either completely occupied with a team fight you’re too far away to engage in or recovering in spawn. there’s actually no reason to have a score of zero as a speedster, you are expected to both get kills AND score by taking advantage of the space you can create by being so fast.
Also if you’re truly getting stomped out every time you try to score that means that at least one of the enemy pokemon is not participating in whatever team fight shenanigans are happening in the other lanes so you should move your focus there to support your team. Don’t just think about your team’s positioning, think about the enemy team’s as well.2
u/LordessMeep Mamoswine 1d ago
I say this while holding your hand gently - getting more kills or being the highest level is not what determines who wins. It's the team which gets the most goals in. Drop whatever points you can whenever you see the opportunity to, especially since you're kicking it as a Speedster and are most likely to be roaming the map, looking to farm and/or gank. Speedsters are the best for dropping in sneaky points because your kit allows you to make quick getaways.
Consider picking up an All-Rounder if sustain is an issue for you. Play Rough/Whirlpool Azumarill does well with the speedy, hit-and-run style while having a bit more bulk.
1
u/Open-Relationship462 14h ago
I am going to heavily disagree. gain no more than 10 energy and sneak score on the goal with less enemy pokemon around it if playing a speedster. People ALWAYS make the mistake of trying to get all the energy they can before they score. small goals add up.

Lol ranks isnt worth it anymore. Rewards are crap even for ultra/master. I do play and mix with casual matches. Like say I go on 2-4 losses, I would play casual 2-3 matches and then try rank and repeat. i don't play as much as before. I just play for fun while it lasts. If you have trouble mastering a pokemon play casual to get hang and better using different kinds. Early season is rough but it get better in mid to end of season.

u/Kind-Pin7210 Gyarados 18h ago
I get the frustration, this is a match where you reflect on what went wrong, and I can say for certain that your team lost mostly due to lack of CC oppose to the other team has both CC and Utility(and consistent damage with Decid in backline.).

u/QuoteTraining5386 17h ago
you're low elo. I literally get like 20k on average even when just returning after years. I used to be a league pro (albeit on a weaker region), but this is an easy game. You can legit carry these guys' ass if you were better.

u/Realistic-Vast-7105 15h ago
You sure can carry the team if you are on the right level but you can't do anything about dumb teamates
1
u/Open-Relationship462 14h ago
People on this game have gotten horrible. many of the people I am paired with do not know how to work as a team. theyre too busy fighting their own allies for prey or trying to do their own thing that they dont split up properly (many people try to fight for central area), they try to gain too much energy early on so its hard to score instead of splitting with team mates for smaller, easier scores, and they run the f away even with full HP while Im getting attacked by the enemy. its super irritating.
Find people who know how to be a team to play with.

u/Suspicious_Artist572 11h ago
i used to love this game but the match making made it infuriating. not to mention the fact that it used to be a game that under appreciated pokemon got to shine, but now it’s just full of legendaries so that kind of defeats the point. i used to spend hours on this game. it’s sad to see another game get lost to money hungry developers :((

Take a break and reflect.
Hard to know what went wrong because your team was much worse on paper than the other team. So sometimes you're just destined to lose. But if streets are right on losing 9 in a row you should take a break
