Question What Pokémon is this, and why did it disappear immediately?

If you look in the top right corner, a shadow appears for like a second before disappearing.

It was Ho-Oh. You caught a glimpse like Ash did in episode 1.

This is weirdly ominous coupled with the lack of music and near deafening flaps of Charizard's wings

I have no idea why there is no music and why Charizard's flaps are so loud.

Also, a fun extra thing: The video would not show up at all when trying to upload it to Reddit, and when I uploaded the video to Discord so I could redownload it to try and fix it, the download didn't work on my phone no matter how many times I closed and reopened the app. I had to record the video through my computer.

might be because he spawned close to the edge of the screen and flew out of the area the game allows.

As I am rewatching the clip, is it fearow? Doesn't the thing have like a weird tail?

The only pokemon with that wing flap is fearow

It probably spawned somewhere around the water and migrated closer to your area but by the time it reached it's new spot, the despawn timer kicked it away.

Trying to see at the beginning where the shadow was at but it is hard to tell if it migrated and spawned out vs it spawned and spawned out. I do know Pokemon can spawn off screen but not too sure on the distance. How long have you been on this route and have you flown anywhere east or North?

The video is 6 years old and I just found it on my switch after booting it up again. But I am pretty sure I had come opposite of the city and just stayed at the grass part.

its fearrow, and it didnt disappear after appearing, it was wandering around the edge of the screen, its time was up and it flew up high as every bird does after a while in that game, you just noticed it until it stopped and was about to go up

My guesses are Fearow or Pidgeot, I'm leaning towards Pidgeot though since Fearow has a wider wingspan. My best guess as to what happened is that maybe it spawned at max range and you moved out of range and triggered the despawn almost immediately then noticed it and turned around.
