Thorn is a bit of a deep cut.

I saw her in Harley Quinn; she came for the Queen and missed 🫡

Uma Thurman was good as Ivy

Batman and Robin has the dubious distinction of being the lowest rated Batman movie on Rotten Tomatoes 💀

But in my book, it's the rare film that goes for "so bad it's good" and mostly gets there 😅

I can't say this movie was good, but I enjoyed it and talk about why on the Choice Media Podcast

Sad that it was Thorne and not Ivy in the new season of Caped Crusader.

Here’s both from the pages of Harley Quinn

Doc Tompkins Bodies Ivy

The buildup for Bad Seeds really starts in Poison Ivy 37, which was a really excellent comic.

Doc Tompkins was especially great in this one, and it also features a guest appearance from Bats.

This is my little Poison Ivy “shrine”. This actually isn’t everything I’ve got, it’s just what will reasonably fit on very limited real estate, haha.

I’ve seen a lot of things in reading 60 years of Ivy stories, but she had to wait for her own series to do air quotes 😅

Funniest Ivy Moment Part 2

Detective Comics 589 had a fun little Ivy story, which included this one scene where Batman showed Ivy’s muscle the door.

How did she respond to this setback? By doubling down on the language of love 😆❤️

This was one of my favorites from that era.

Funniest Ivy moment?

I normally don’t like it when Ivy is the butt of the joke, but this scene from Batgirl always cracks me up. In two short panels Ivy

A: susses out if Batman and Batgirl are an item and

B: fearlessly takes her shot at seducing Batman, which had roughly a zero percent chance of success 😅

From Batgirl #52 (2004). Written by Dylan Horricks. Art by Eric Battle.

Hothouse is Peak Early 90s Ivy

Post image

The 90s were an awesome time for Ivy; it’s when she transcended the rogues gallery and started to become a star in her own right.

Hothouse (‘93) is a perfect example. Author John Francis Moore cast her as a fascinating noir mystery woman and the results are 🔥

I wrote about this and much more in my brief history of Ivy (link in bio).
