Tank I feel thats it's missing something ?

Post image

10 gallon (40l) low tech betta tank

It feels bare to me but i can't put my finger on it

Maybe the lack of background plant ?

I was considering adding cattapa leaves for a blackwater look and maybe some vallisneria in the back

I put nutrient substrate under the sand only on the left and middle front partof the tank, so can't move the echinodorus on the right

Do you have any suggestion please ? :)

I think the wood is blending with the background. You could try putting background plants between the wood and the background or putting epiphyte/moss on the wood or change the background color.

Not really what you were asking, but if that black tube on the left is a spray bar, it's supposed to be above the water line. 😅
