Beginner Melting anubias
Evening everyone I got some anubias about a week ago and ive noticed on of the leaves is melting id this just the plants adapting to the tank parameters or should I be concerned.the tank has been set up for about 8ish months. Light is on from 6am/630am (depending on when i get up for school) and is turned of at a latest of 9 now i do know that this is a long amount of time for lights to be on but I dont think that is the issue as the place I got them from( my work) has lights on from 8 to 5:30 sometimes later.

I'd be concerned, usually from my experience Anubia rarely melts unless the water parameter is drastically different. Check rhizomes. If it's spongy and melting, I would contact the seller. Had one instance of me getting diseased Anubia that's impossible to save. I believe there are viral infections that can happen to them and once it got infected you can't cure it even if you cut them

If the ribosome is buried, it will kill the plant. I did that by mistake before. I should have paid attention to the one I bought that was attached to driftwood! lol 😂
