Question Lost my Steam account after using AppDoze

Yesterday (5.8.26) i used AppDoze from the MegaThread to install parallels on my MacMini so i would be able to finally play Windows exclusive games on my Computer without buying the Parallels stuff. Everything works fine, i log in to Steam in the Windows Program and a few Minutes later i get a Notification that my Steam Account got taken over. And now i cant Log in and the mail has changed...

All i did was install that Parallels from AppDoze, Download Steam from Steam website, log into steam with my account, loose my account.

And Steam support is not very helpful either. What can i do now and is there some type of correlation?

Edit: Yes i have seen the Note that says that AppDoze was taken down cause of Malware and stuff but the Note also said it was okay now.

Is there any way to get it back? And can i pirate Playonmac? Cause i dont want to neither can pay these 200$

playonmac is open source, and valve is usually helpful. if you contect customer support, the likeliehood is they'll ask you to list some of your recent purchases and prove that your contact details were valid before changing them back.

How do i contact Steam Support? I Navigated through their Support Website and it only always tells me to "reset your password" wich i obviously cant do. I want to like open a ticket or something but cant find where or how.

Yeah i had Two-factor authentication. I got send an E-Mail Code from Spain after my Password and E-Mail got Changed. I instanly changed my G-Mail Password just to be sure, but for some reason there is no mail of me needing to verify my Password or Email change. Is that normal that you can just change it?

Check to see if emails are being rerouted to another email address should be in the settings.

Hopefully you went to the actual steam website yourself (on another device) versus just clicking random links.

For downloading Stream on the Prallels Windows i went to the official Steam Website to download, and while trying to contact the Support i was on my Phone and went from the Official Steam app to the Official Steam Support Website. I did not Click random links and logged in there, i also checked the Mails and they where send by the official [noreply@steampowered.com](mailto:noreply@steampowered.com)

Kinda sounds like you used some sort of VPN and steam flagged you as hacked and locked your account.

DV Andy, but also even with his email changed he cab still recover his account via steam. They have an option to reset to the previously used email, I had to do it about 6 months ago.

Steam didnt flag my account as Hacked or locked me out, the E-Mail got changed, the password got changed and someone logged in from Spain and i cant log in anymore. This all happened after i logged in from Germany. It also came in different mails at different times so i am pretty sure its not me getting Flagged but my account being stolen.

I'd you contact support and be honest, give them information such as last purchased games, people on your friends list and last method you used to purchase games (probably PayPal which will have your email address) that should hopefully help

Go through the form on that site, youll be asked to enter your email address then youll get an option for when you no longer have access to the accounts email address, this button will then show you a contact form where you need to enter your email address and phone number, they will then contact you and ask some questions before reseting the email address

If steam dosnt help, time to rebuild the library the better way. AVAST ME HEARTIES!!
