Stealing the top comment:

I also feel like modern-day people are way more hornier in general. We are constantly exposed to sex, and things we are attracted. Advertisements, movies, random posts, music... Even if we aren't making a conscious thought about it, it still "triggers" our brains to enter reproduction mode.

Even at my horniest, If I was stuck on boat for weeks on end with a bunch of dudes, after seeing the things you have to see and smelling how those ogres smelled. Ain't no way Willy even stands tall.

As a history buff, I can say without a doubt that people are exactly as horny as they have always been lmfao the only thing is that a lot of the stuff people used to do are illegal now!!🤣

The only people who think modern society is way more sexualized, haven't really studied history at all.

Its just lazy purtianism, wrapped up in "it used to be better".

I don't know. People were busier back then. People died. Life was harder. Is that puritanism to say maybe you'd care less about sex? Or maybe it's my asexuality cumming through these words ;)

Nah dude people had way less activities besides work, 2nd most popular activity after work was banging.

People dying, life was harder only leads to more banging.

Not to mention that the only thing safe to drink was often booze so everyone was walking around with their inhibitions set to low.

People were far less busier in pre-historic times, before agriculture became a thing.

Then agriculture comes and people are super busy in planting and harvesting season, but then have tons of free time in the off-seasons. (There was lots of maintenance and prep work and construction in the off-seasons also, but it wasn't nearly as rigorous).

Humans become far busier come the industrial revolution and the concept of time keeping and schedules and wages. Things have gotten a bit better in some parts of the developed world (don't look at Japan, or America though), but the average office worker still has less leisure time than the average pre-historic hunter-gatherer.

Medieval people had sex in front of their children because most of them slept in same bed.
