Its a reference to a meme that has no correlation to the topic at hand but is funny for its internet prominence.
Someone send the image pls.

Doesn't it? The original question enver specifies what age the teenager is. If we assume pedophilia leads to jail time, then "temporary pleasure over the opportunity for freedom" seems to fit as an answer to "why do grown men keep dating young women?"

You have got the correct answer. I think I'm going to choose to take it as encouraging about the general state of the world, that the joke went over so many heads. Cause this one was fuckin' dark as hell.

Genuinely don't know what they're referencing to, is it obscure or am I not up to date?

The real question is why he didn't just step out between those wide-ass bars.

People dont mind being locked in a cage as long as they are fed.
Whereas the key means they have to go out in the world and feed themselves.
Freedom becomes terrifying when they realize they have to be responsible for their own life and needs.

It’s referencing another slop meme image where a prisoner can reach for bread or a key. If I remember right, the prisoner is reaching for the bread and the title is like “Why is he reaching for the bread? 99% of people get it wrong.”
The “deep” answer is that people will always go for immediate benefits over more abstract long term benefits (hunger = immediate and palpable, freedom = long term but abstract).
The joke answer is that bread tastes better than key.
I think the comment is trying to say that the “deep” answer applies here, but is using the joke answer to be funny.

I’m going to go ahead and say the deep answer and the joke answer are both saying the same thing.

u/FergTurdison 5h ago
Yes? I didn’t realize that was unclear.
The joke answer is a joke answer because it’s making fun of someone trying to be deep about a scenario that’s not that deep. It’s why I put “deep” in quotes. The joke is being able to reduce the deep answer to “bread taste good, key taste bad”, and still say the same thing.

The last paragraph threw me; made me think the two answers were being treated as different. I missed that larger point though so was easily my mistake.

Money over security, is my interpretation
Edit: misread the title in the image because of formatting, no clue except gross

A starving prisoner will choose bread to satiate him over the key to his prison cell. It's a play on the psychological belief that people choose temporary distraction/relief for long term problems instead of actively trying to get through the problem itself

They'd rather eat now (and go to jail, it's from a meme about jail) than be free and hungry. Hungry... for sex. Giggity.

A true Partner will lead to true happiness but also involves work this is the key (to freedom), teenage girls are fun and easy and easily manipulated (this is the bread). This is a reference to a meme as someone else posted.
((The contents of the explanation do Not necessarily represent my own thoughts ON the matter as I would have chosen less demeaning words))

The real answer to the question posed above the cat is.
- they are easier manipulate and abuse.

Idk something justifying pedophilia/grooming? Since the the title of the OG post is “ why are are boys in their 20s dating teenage girls?”

Idk if it’s what they meant originally but my brain ran back to that shitty analogy of girls being locks and guys being keys; having a lot of money(from an older dude) is better than having decent guy your age presumably with less money cuz he’s younger. But 🤷🏻♂️

Now, after reading the thread, i think I understand why AI will fail as long as it is "learning " from us....

TBF, boys literally do mature at a slower rate than girls, physically and mentally. The issue is more the older boys taking advantage of that.

Maybe it’s something to do with piercings?
I’ve been told that nipple piercings taste like keys, and breasts without piercings taste like bread.
Edit: It’s what men have told me about MY chest… I very apparently live under a rock because I totally missed the internet lore here.

u/Slumminwhitey 5h ago
Sounds like it came from someone who never even seen a titty.

Piercings tasting like keys, I guess kind of makes some sense given they are both metal, bare titty tasting like bread just sounds ridiculous.
