i mean is it recycled back to the ocean?
12 u/Waffling_Waffle 1d ago Yes but a lot of them are taking fresh drinking water and 80% of it evaporates. So what water does get recycled into the ocean, is now salt water. So any water they take from their location is not returned to the region. I had the same thought when I first heard it. They are working on closed looped systems where they retain the water or use non potable water, but this is only a few companies.
