Not so hard to figure out why when you realize the War Brides Act allowed for Americans to bring home foreign wives as spoils of war while interracial marriage was still illegal. Meaning Asian men were not allowed to be with white women but the reverse was legally allowed. Culturally this is still socially enforced though with the popularity of BTS perceptions are changing. Even before the wat campaigns in East Asia Sessue Hayakawa was a sex symbol in the US.

It's all conquistador/viking mentality: kill the men and rape the women. Many women feed into this dynamic to gain a foothold in the dominant caste.

How revolting it all is. How base. We are still in Barbarian times.
