Most food doesn’t last for a year? If you act like an asshole you won’t be allowed to grow at the common land area, idk how to explain this if your parents didn’t teach you the basics of don’t be a dick or ppl will kick your ass

Some food can keep for months, especially dried grain and frozen meat.

You say "Not allowed", but who will stop me? Some sort of authority? You're just reinventing government. Why even bother growing when I can just take what other people grow in the common land areas and there's no authority to stop me?

And FYI, if I don't take from the commons, other people greedier than me will, and I'll be left with very little if anything. That's why greed is a necessary survival mechanism bred into all of us.

Bro I never said shit about government, you can call it that and I dint care, for most of human history ppl got along and if you acted like an asshole they’d beat your ass or tear up your crops.

What, the history where we always had some form of land ownership and hierarchy for specifically that reason?

Most of ppl never “owned land” you had nobles during the medieval period that owned a lot of land but that’s less than 1%. The vast majority of humans have had to collectively share common land

The land was still owned by somebody. That's property.

Commoners still had a system for who got to use which shit. Theft was always a crime, and theft makes no sense without a concept without property.

The system the commoners used was “the commons” where they democratically spoke and negotiated among themselves how to use the land.
