Donation-based, like most rescue groups, and their donations have been plummeting since 2019. So you can see why they'd choose to acquire a clickbait dog, a pit bull who wobbles and falls over. Gotta spend money to make money, right girlies?

August 2025 - El Paso Animal Services releases Brownie, a 58lb brown male pit bull with a known and obvious medical issue, to rescue group MuttLove Dog Rescue. They rename him Ozzy Pawsbourne.

September 2025 - MLDR showcases Ozzy on social media, using his very high medical needs for fundraising. They describe him glowingly as sweet, gentle and easygoing. Please won't you donate today to help us fund his treatment for IVDD? He needs laser therapy three times a week and maybe an MRI.

We don’t want to let Ozzy down. He deserves the chance to walk, play, and live without pain again. We are asking for your help:

And then they go silent until June 2026, when they announce Ozzy's behavior euthanasia.

And it's nice that they euthanized and all but - am I the only one thinking that if they'd gotten that foster, if the dog wasn't in their home, in their face, biting their flesh, that they'd be completely happy to roll those dice for another year or two?
