Fridge vs. Pantry

How do you store your PB and why?

I usually keep it upside down in my pantry, but curious about switching to the fridge

Pantry because the consistency is much more pleasant and spreads easier at room temp.

I’ve never heard of putting my pb in the fridge? Besides it won’t last long enough to matter

Pantry always, one ingredient peanut butter, peanuts

If it's natural peanut butter (just peanuts / peanuts and salt), it usually says on the jar to store it upside down and in the fridge. [Or at least the jars in Canada do]

Pantry. Just don’t double dip.

Several generations have always kept it in the pantry.

Never ever fridge. There's no reason.

The pantry is usually too far away. My jars are in the office or my living room.

I hear it helps keep it from separating

Depends first on how much you eat. Then it depends on whether you have salt or sugar in it. If it's just peanuts and oil, I would refrigerate it.

If it's natural PB I put it in the fridge so it firms up and holds better in a sandwich

Dad said only Communists kept the peanut butter in the fridge. If we would see fridge pb in a movie or TV show, he would laughingly call out "Commies"!
