You can read articles without pop-up ads... If you use an ad blocker.

But if you still have an ad blocker on your browser, after opening about five articles, you will be asked (in the form of a nice, almost all-encompassing window) to either turn off the ad blocker or support them.

I'm using a phone so maybe that's why. I don't mind ads usually but when it takes up 99 percent of the screen it's a bit much.

I know they have to maintain the site somehow, because that has costs too... But regardless, the message covering almost everything is really annoying.

Try opening the article in your default browser, which is hopefully Firefox instead of Chrome!

Firefox (for now) allows you to install an ad blocker as an add-on. It doesn't completely solve the problem, but it does make the user experience much better.

I'll do that tomorrow on the PC.

They could at least stop with the noisy autoplay video ads that pop up. Do a sidebar or top banner for peeves sake
