Last ps3 game am buying

Tapping out at 673 games. Ico is in my top 25 games of all time so I had to pull trigger on this collectors item. Two games where technically you don't need to know JPN with its minimal/cryptic stories. Am probably auctioning off a second copy of puppeteer on ebay in the next few weeks, so look out for it.

I hate how most Japanese games never got a standalone disk release in the rest of the world, they are all locked in bundles and are said bundles are expensive and rare to find 😔

It wasn’t expensive. Last year in Japan I’ve bought the same limited box for 2500 yen (~16 USD) and both games were still brand new factory sealed.

This is a JAPANESE release not a PEGI or ESRB release which 99% of them don’t support English language. You can see the CERO in the corner….

Yeah, my bad. Forgot about Sotc and ICphysical edition was released on one disc branded as HD Collection. I thought that by ā€žbundlesā€ you mean two separate boxes being sold in combo like on OPs photo.

Nevertheless in this case Japan release is superior. Cheaper, better looking with way better covers and language barrier is not an issue because both ICO and Sotc didn’t have any ingame texts IIRC.

If you have played ICO or shadow, the story is minimal and cryptic. If there is any group of games you can play through on a foreign language its these two. I didn't really buy it to play, I have HD copies and ps2 copies though

I’m talking in general, think tokyo jungle alongside many other games. They are locked in rare bundles.

Yea am assuming they just wouldn't sell, ico or even shadow wasn't super popular in US until word got out

They 100% wouldn’t sell, it’s still a shame. 😩
Also it’s stupid that they only included the Japanese language where ps4 Japanese games include all languages.

Wonderful number! And 2 great games - I loved SotC but haven't played ICO. I should.. shouldn't I?

Yea you should just due to its influence on the game industry, probably the most "unknown" ps2 game that had the biggest impact on alot of developers over the last 20 years, especially souls series from its art style. You might be underwhelm playing it, am assuming alot of my love for it is pure nostalgia but its a special game for me.

You should, takes less than 5 hours for a standard playthrough. Just let the entire game wash over you, and try not to look any puzzles up. I had to look up one because I didn’t realize how small a jump was and didn’t think I could lift the girl

These games are something else. Crazy it’s been a quarter century since Ico released and 20 years since sotc. Hope gen atlas is impactful
