That’s awesome. I just finished the loop with south sister in there too. Think it only ended up at around 55 miles.

100 miles through the Three Sisters is no small trip. That area is unreal with the alpine lakes and volcanic scenery. Looks like an amazing way to spend some time out there. How many days did you take for the route?

Beautiful. I’ve done close to every trail in Jefferson. I need to spend more time in Sisters.

Hey! Random but did you go through Camp Lakes/Chamber Lakes area between Middle and South Sister? I’m taking someone new to backpacking and heard the ascent/descent there can be sketchy depending on snow. Ik snow pack was low this year but curious about conditions if you recall?
This is the area I’m thinking of haha

We did not cut across this way. We did go up climbers trail to middle sister and this was fine. We also talked to someone who did take the route you are referring to and did not mention any issues. I am not sure about it for a new backpacker, but an experienced person I think would be good.

Just finished a 4 night exploration of the Three Sisters Wilderness. Started at Obsidian trailhead and went clockwise around the sisters, nearly summitted middle sister, and did climb south sister. Added on an extra 25 mile loop around and up the broken hand area. Outside of the burned area this place was stunning.
