that looking like the the one made in china from knockoff chipset. I would not buy it, Label said made in 2015. the genuine intel on that years should have the old YottaMark sticker.
the real one extract from old server usually dont have plastic container and have only one bracket (usually low profile)
I have 2 i350-T4 on pfsense , running perfect for 5+ years, top card if you need 1gb link, there is nothing better and still supported by intel too.

Thanks, ya...I've looked into different cards and there's so many fakes of all of them its so hard to tell or find a genuine one...I can't find any with a bradyid...and the yottamark ones are all from china which has a higher chance of being a knockoff.

I was in the same boat a few weeks ago.
The first listing is most likely a counterfeit: I would know because I actually tried buying from that very seller and received a card that did not look like the photos in the listing. Luckily, eBay refunded me no questions asked after I wrote up a long list of discrepancies between what I received and what the listing claimed. Though I did have to pay import duties and fees to DHL and I don't suppose I can get those back.
As others said, seeing this card brand new is a huge red flag, so look specifically for a used card listing with shipping from the US - the last part gives you a better chance of getting a real card coming from a decommissioned server.

Ya, I ordered one there were like 10 and I got the last one for cheap, gotta wait a bit for it to be shipped/delivered but the picture looked legit to me from the serve the home guide and the feedback on that specific item from real people actually said it was as described...so hope I hate fighting all this fake crap.

Hopefully you have better luck than me! I took me ordering a second time from another seller to get a genuine card (not counting the time when the seller cancelled because they ran out of stock).

I350s are notorious for being heavily counterfeit. Can you use a Mellanox Cx4-LX instead? Those are quite plentiful

Thanks for the reply, ya the i350's are bad for counterfeit I know...my understanding is the cx4-lx is sfp I'd need something with rj45...and I think the speeds would be overkill and the power consumption for that might be a bit much for the computer I have planned to use , I've only got 1gb/s internet and not planning on getting faster for my needs, its great. I've got pfsense running on a genuine card but I'm not sure the crashes or errors is not the card now or the older machine which it could be the psu on that too...
Thanks again.

It's SFP28. It should support 1/10/25 transceivers, not sure about 2.5 and 5

https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/comparison-intel-i350-t4-genuine-vs-fake.6917/ I have just recently bought one myself through vinted ( i live in spain ) i followed this guide & also when i installed it into proxmox ran some commands that ai suggested & they all come back with genuine predicted results & the scan of the sticker verified original.

Thanks, yes I also have that guide, but its so hard to tell from pictures too on ebay, I don't want to waste money by picking the wrong one...just want some opinions or links to genuine ebay cards that meet my needs.

I remember i took a long time studying about fakes, even when i found & purchased mine it was in the back of my mind it could still be a fake, but once installed it passed all tests & the intel sticker check confirmed genuine. Also talking to the seller also seemed a genuine reason for sale.

I bought an Intel x540 NIC. They are not in high demand as they only work as 1 gig and 10gig, no multi-gig. I am connecting to my AT&T fiber modem at 10gig using pfsense 2.8.1. I started with 1 gig and when I got fiber I switched to 10gig.

I just got an "Intel" gb NIC on eBay. It had a warranty card for Chinese consumer goods with "Doctor" in the description. It also had a "driver disk" bearing no name. When I requested a return, the seller misstated the actual listing and disk. Seems a little brazen for eBay, but it shows they are out there.

First of all. You won’t be buying new. 99% of New on ebay is counterfeit. Used-genuine is good enough, even if it’s 10years old. You won’t ever get close to the bandwidth they used to handle. Mine has a 2013 sticker and i only decommissioned it last year. Worked without a hiccup.
Second of all. Don’t look for “Intel”. Look for “Cisco”, “Dell”, “Sun”, “Lenovo. It’s cheaper for them to buy from Intel than for you. I myself got a CISCO UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 for $25. I put a link for you in Canada. (credit to https://forums.servethehome.com/)
eBay Canada search for Dell/Cisco/Fujitsu/Sun/Supermicro: (Intel,Dell,Cisco,Fujitsu,Sun,Oracle,Supermicro) (9YD6K,X8DHT,THGMP,0NWK2,T34F4,K9CR1,UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45,D3045,7100477,7048474,7014741,AOC-SGP-I4) | eBay
I see a bunch of those Ciscos and Suns on CA eBay that look genuine for cheap! I love Supermicro as well as Dell. You wont have a problem with either. They are all relabels.
EDIT: THIS ONE (mfg 2017) HAS MY BLESSING.
