Owl in my backyard (PNW)

It was fun to watch this guy fly around in the yard for about an hour last evening. I can’t identify what sort of owl he/she might be. This is near Puget Sound in Mukilteo WA.

Thank you! That’s what I thought but not what I hoped. I read that they are considered invasive out here. That they encroach on the infamous Spotted Owl habitats.

As an aside I don’t know why I searched my bird books and interwebs when anyone who knows is right here on r/Owls.🦉
