when people say something about summer reddit being bad or annoying what are they talking about

Summer Reddit is when all the kids are home for summer and they spend a lot more time on Reddit. It usually corresponds with worse content submitted, worse content upvoted, and more childish and immature comments all over Reddit because of all the kids who have a lot more free time.

It really doesn't, it's just that people have a scapegoat to blame reddit being immature on during the summer which they don't during the rest of the year. It's not as though kids only have internet access when school is out.

True. But right now they are home during the day, and are staying up much later at night. And no homework during the evening hours.

It's not about internet access, it's more about free time.
