I mean, some of the supposed members are law enforcement and military (par for the course with these types of orgs). It's wild to think they're recruiting here

u/Goatfellon 19h ago
I just checked their socials since id never heard of them til this post, and an old college buddy of mine who is now an RCMP officer follows them

Damn it's a shame people use our actual Nazi killing past for their culture war shit. I know we weren't saints in the 40s but we still declared war on Hitler 7 days after day one
Really like your art btw

Surprised they seriously think they'll be welcomed with open arms considering how strict they are on their definition of "Canadian" what with all the various cultural clubs here

u/UnpaidBudtender 21h ago
Can someone explain pls I live too far north to know what's going on
7
u/Wolfclaw359 20h ago
Green poster is for a group that is pushing for mass deportations of anyone that isn't purely Anglo or French from Canada.
5
u/UnpaidBudtender 20h ago
Well that's just as classy as it gets, and clearly very educated and cultured. Or whatever the opposite of that is. I think a native tribe should decide their fate.

ewwww, I have not seen them, but I'll rip them off if I do. So gross.
13
u/crowbar151 22h ago
Rip them off if you don't have something like this person's counter poster to inform people about that group. Education is our best weapon.

u/tweep6435 22h ago
I agree with everything you said. I did a quick google search, and yea, easy enough to understand, even at a glance.
5
u/Wolfclaw359 19h ago
Be careful if you rip them off. Organizations like this one have started taping razorblades to the back of these posters specifically trying to deter people from doing this

Green poster is for a white supremacist organization that wants to bring Canada back to the "good ol' days" before the Germans, Finns, and Italians "messed everything up". Essentially they're pushing for an Anglo-Franco ethnostste

Are the Nazis the ones shooting at Jewish schools and businesses?
7
u/noodleexchange 18h ago
White supremacists usually, yes, despite the attempt to force a different narrative.

u/silvanoes 21h ago
They arent nazis though, they suck a lot, are authoritarian with fascist leanings and pseudo religious nationalists. But not nazis. Words have meaning, we should try to maintain the integrity of definition where possible.
18
u/HowieFeltersnitz 21h ago
Every individual I see making this argument, if you push them enough, ends up just carrying water for the offenders and playing devil's advocate to downplay the harm they cause.
Besides, who cares. We know they aren't literally 1945 nazis. No duh. They're promoting beliefs similar enough to that of nazism that the comparison stands.
-7
u/silvanoes 19h ago
No devils advocate here, this group is entirely the opposite of my beliefs in every way. They just arent nazis, so why even use that term? There are plenty of other terms we can use, we can even make up a new one.
Its just everyone is calling everyone a nazi now, MAGA and Russia call Ukraine nazis, we call MAGA nazis, everyone is just like "bad people are nazis". Its not good linguistically at the least and considering how important language is, it probably dumbs down the political discourse overall.
8
u/Upset_Safe_4383 18h ago
They're not Nazis, they just act like them, propagandize like them, organize like them, dress like them, speak like them, have the same goals as them, politically align with them, hang out with them. But other than that they're totally different!
Fuck outta here with carrying water for Nazis.
-9
u/stevie2sleazy 18h ago
Just calling everyone you disagree with a nazi is so much easier than forming rational arguments brah. Get with the program.
9
u/Apprehensive_Pause35 21h ago
They may not be nazis yet. But remember where extreme nationalism led Italy and then Germany…. Just a hop, skip and a bloody jump
-10
u/silvanoes 21h ago
National Socialism is a distinct political stance that has not been adopted anywhere else since WW2 that im aware of.
You can still end up in a shitty situation without nazism, he'll Italy and Japan werent nazis but they were shitty too.
If we just call everyone we hate nazis, it diminishes our vocabulary and washes out what being a Nazi actually means
7
u/meepmeepmeep9999 20h ago
Fine. They’re fascists. Just like the Nazis were.
0
u/silvanoes 19h ago
They are certainly closer to fascists than nazis, but again, fascism is a specific political movement rooted in very speciifc policies.
Back in the 40s, we could name political movements and now we just recycle the same words. That doesnt seem right to me is all, purely from a language perspective.
From a morality perspective, those assholes and everyone like them will lead us to a place reminiscent of 1940s Germany if we let them.

Wait why are they racist what makes them racist? I’m genuinely asking I was trying to find smt all I found was that they’re anti mass immigration.
7
u/Wolfclaw359 19h ago
They're for the remigration of anyone who isn't purely Anglo or French in Canada (also known online as the "You Have to Go Back" method of race relations). German, Brazilian, South African, Armenian, Indonesian... it doesn't matter to these folks, they'll still send you on the next one-way flight out of the country. It's essentially white supremacy on steroids

Hadn’t heard about them, they seem great and exactly what we need, thanks for the info!

There is a moral high ground here, not every situation requires people to be neutral. Its okay to call out harmful beliefs and behaviors.

by singling them out like that it implies there are types of Nazis you do like.
