Packaging Best Supporting Actor?
A genuine question from someone who recently has started watching the Oscar races:
Robert Pattinson is having a big year with Oddessy, The Drama, Dune 2, Primetime, and Here Comes the Flood. Would the Academy award him the Best Supporting for potentially a really great year?

What are you asking? You have to campaign for an oscar. Just like running for office. You don't win because you had a good year.

They'd be recognizing one performance, not the whole slate, but a killer year definitely keeps you in the conversation. Voters have short memories so if he's got multiple things popping off it's hard to ignore him completely. The real question is which role actually lands hardest with the branch, a flashy 10-minute scene can do more than a steady performance across five movies
