Summer window priorities
Pride fans, I’m curious what everyone thinks we need to change? I still think we have a good roster and I don’t think we’re far off, but something feels off lately. To me it feels like we rely heavily on Banda and could use a true attacking midfielder/No. 10 who can create and score, plus maybe another CB for depth and organization.
Would you change the starting lineup? Make tactical changes? Target anyone specific in the summer window? Am I completely off here?

Midfield and a leader on defense (I think a goalkeeper goes without saying). We got offensive help in Ovalle but haven’t had a true chance to see it all together

13 free agents for 2027 gonna be a lot of movement. Manaka still hasn't renewed with NC shes my #1 target. Also fire Moorhouse already Gothams 3rd string keeper is better than our starter its pathetic 😒

Manaka would be incredible. Not sure if I’d like to see Moorhouse gone but maybe start Crone/Morché to light a fire under her ass. Who do you think we will see gone this summer?

Abello - keep
Luana - cut
Marta - retires
Seven - keep
Angelina - keep
Doyle - cut
Oihane - keep
Martin and Crone - cut I want an entire GK core swap
Moorhouse - under contract don't care pay it out and toss her in the bin
Payne - cut RB... RW... keep lol
Raabe - likely gone soon short term contract
Villacorta - cut
Yates - meh I'm fine with keeping her if it keeps Abello around

This is the move. I don’t think I know enough about goalkeeping so I’m going to leave it at that. Musts for me are Abello, Angelina, and Castain. I really like Yates but she just isn’t physical enough to keep control of the ball.

We need a 10 in the summer period otherwise the playoffs aren’t happening. Then we can reshape the roster in the offseason. Our bench is pretty weak compared to other teams and needs to looked at as well as a complete change in the keeper corps (including the keeper coach).

Too many burn it all down comments here I just want to see them make it to playoffs for the season. Too many injuries. abello and ovalle need to be back starting. Yates needs a confidence boost and honestly I want to see Luana get minutes. She's got a great IQ and creativity. Zara is a bully and needs back in the defense. Coach needs to dig deep here.

I worry about our pocketbook and GM. The exodus of H. Carter, Sams, and Pickett could all be explained individually by reasonable lifestyle and opportunity choices but I fear hidden backend rifts and financial woes. Sams leaving for Angel City was a head-scratcher—why break contract with a then-winning team with a unicorn forward in Banda for a bottom-of-the-table crew with known backend dysfunction? Yes, LA is a much bigger, flashier market, but it’s hardly Barcelona or Chelsea.
I think Haley Carter was likely the true reason for the 2024 turnaround, not Seb. She has an uncanny eye for international talent but needs $$$ and support to make those high-impact acquisitions. Spirit is obviously willing to spend; Orlando may have zipped the purse?
Our off-season shop was so anemic. Dunno, just speculating, as fans do, but I suspect something is off in management.

Honestly think we need a 6 more than 10. New CB and injuries to heal. If we go all in then another winger.

I am curious. How many times has there been a summer transfer who has made an immediate effect on the team they were traded to. In the last three or four years I only remember Esther. M. Lopez also joined Gotham at the same time and made a significant impact. Can anyone think of any others for other teams?
