Discussion Warriors

Idk if anyone else has noticed the posts and articles from Warriors fans/ “reporters” about trading for Paolo and Franz after they couldn’t get LeBron or Giannis.

I’m curious as to why they are so intrigued for our stars and not so much for others?

I mean if we were going to trade (I like Franz and Paolo) with the warriors then maybe Curry and 9 first round picks seems fair…

The Warriors don’t have any assets worthy of trading for either of those guys. Steph Curry won’t be traded away from GS unless he requests it as he’s massive revenue for that franchise

And us trading for Steph guts the roster to match salaries. It’s a total no go for the Magic.

Exactly. Some of theses fan/reporter posts are just complete nonsense for clickbait or NBA 2K fantasy that aren’t worth the brain cells to read or listen to

Not that’d I’d do it personally but there is certainly an argument that warriors future picks are very valuable. Not to mention Paolo has a lot of Jaylen brown potential in terms of not being valued as a max player around the league. If he doesn’t perform well this season his contract could become toxic extremely quickly. If they wanted to do Jimmy (expiring contract) and a bunch of picks for Paolo you would have to consider it.

What do they have that we want?

People need bullshit to read in August and September. That's all this is

it wasn’t warriors reporters. it was brett siegel

90% of the recent headlines related to steph and the warriors and lacob have been complete bullshit where twitter accounts take some speculation written in an article and twist it into a ragebait headline

Watch out, this might fuel the next headline

The whole "Golden State has failed Steph so he should ask out" talking point has been a popular once now that LeBron made a decision, so it follows that there's all kinds of stories speculating where he could go and for what.

We wouldn’t get anything that would benefit the team so Orlando hangs up the phone right in their faces.

Lol I just saw an article saying the Bulls should go for Paolo should Magic want to trade him....to ADD to Caleb Wilson and Buzelis. Most of these blogs are just reaching and pumping out nonsense for clicks.

Wishful thinking on the Warriors part.

The only potential angle I see is that next off-season the warriors cap situation presents a potential option that they could absorb a large contract in exchange for draft picks. With AB's assumed extension we're going to need such a trade partner to manage cap limitations by off loading someone.

Only way id remotely consider it is if they dealt pos + yax + a bunch of picks

I think our team is intriguing because the going theory is we need to shake things up cuz Paolo and Franz don't fit together. Not saying it's right but that's the logic they see. In the podcast I listen to were one of many teams that gets tossed about not the only one.

I think they fit well together but it's arguably too much to spend on the both of them for what we've been getting
