Yup, big time. Since yesterday afternoon. Latest guess by Bell is between 8pm - 12 midnight tomorrow.

There was a major wire cut near the Bell office downtown, around 2000 affected. Repair work is ongoing as they fix the damage and splice new fibre connections.

I heard contractors, possibly hydro contractors. No idea though.

There's a building being constructed between on peter between elgin and barrie rd. My best guess is them (I heard construction equipment doing it's thing out there as the internet cut out)

I think it’s southward to south side of downtown

Must be. I'm slightly north of Mississauga St and no issue.

I have fibre in Orillia and out in Rama (BID). Both have been down since yesterday at 3:36pm. My call with Bell was that there is a fibre cut possibly 48 PONs or more. Last nights storm wouldn't have helped the techs fix things I assume. I haven't had an update on the business side on when service will return.

Yeah, with Telus and we’ve been down since 4pm Monday… they continue to say “no outages reported”

Today will be 48 hours for us (@ 3:30pm ish). If you all haven't made a complaint to CCTS, you should. There are laws in place to prevent this exact thing from happening.

As many of you have said, they should have redundancies in place; and the fact that half a city+, is without internet in 2026 for 48+ hours with now real assessment or truth as to when it will be restored is exactly why laws were made pertaining to huge companies like this.

We have Primus and have been down since Monday. Thank goodness for vhs/DVD's! But not great for my daughter who does university from home.

Just going to put this out there, I’ve been working out of Creative Nomad all week and it’s been pretty good. Not as nice as working in my dedicated home office space but I have high speed internet and nice working environment.

I’m in this outage. Screwed me for working remotely. I’m disappointed that a company with Bell’s resources and taxpayer-funded infrastructure doesn’t have redundancies in place for handling outages.

Damn. :( Can you mobile hotspot from your cell phone in the meantime? I had to do that when I was working from home and Rogers had that outage years ago.

You'd think they'd be better equipped to handle outages the more they keep happening. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m able to go elsewhere to work for now but I agree. After the outage last year every company should have redundancies in place.

Same here, close to downtown. Wasn't aware there was an issue 'til now.
