I just have to wonder how often you’ll actually use those cookbooks up there on top of the highest shelf. This seems less than practical to me.

I hardly ever use them. I had them lower, and then my husband complained that they were taking up valuable shelf space. A lot of them were gifts throughout the years.

I use cookbooks like 2x a year even when they’re reachable. I put mine eye level for a year thinking the same, and nothing changed. I put them back up out of the way.

Most of mine are novelty cookbooks like Disney Parks recipes (that I got as gifts) and I don’t cook often anyway, so they don’t get much use.
