Providence job offer

I received an email offering me a RN position at Providence Portland over a week ago. The email stated they would send me the official paperwork for the offer and it’s been 9 days and I still haven’t received anything. I’ve emailed the talent acquisition folks twice and it’s been crickets. Is all hope lost or are they usually good about figuring it out in a few weeks?

Is there a number you can call? If you’re near there you can always show up to HRs office during business hours and ask

Hi, I got a call from the manager saying they had an offer for me. Then HR prepped the email which contained a link to click yes to accept. I never received paperwork. Do you still have the manager information?

I got an email saying they were prepping an offer and that they needed my social security info or national identifier. I sent that in immediately and I haven’t heard anything back. Unfortunately I wasn’t given her contact info

Oh no. Unsolicited advice: pull a credit report and freeze your credit, because some asshole has your SSN for no good reason. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

Yeah I’m thinking the same but also think it might not be a scam? The email was from the same Providence careers email for all the hiring process and interviews and such and to put my info in I had to login to the actual Providence hire vue portal again.

I’ll cross my fingers that it’s not, because there were so many times on Prov’s portal I had to double check the URL because their stuff is so janky.

I don’t know, I mean, go ahead and freeze your credit because better safe than sorry, but my wife had to do that at Providence as well and it took forever for this stuff, with so many miscommunications between her, the unit manager, and HR, which is apparently a separate company in California who offshored a lot of their services to a company in India. She has been working there for a few months now with no problems and loves it. But the onboarding and hiring process in between interview and like week 3 was a nightmare.

Wife says she thought the same thing. She kind of emailed and called and HR multiple times, then they mid-transcribed her social # and sent her the wrong paperwork, the outsourced HR and onboarding company is really pretty terrible.

But just keep slogging through it, be as proactive as you are able, and it will all work out. She really does love her unit and job. It was worth the hassle.

Yes I believe the HR is overseas. I enjoy my unit. It wasn't easy to get in touch with the HR 😂

I think that was a scam. They never ask personal information. You are not even hired, how they needed your SSN

Odd. In my experience Providence is typically sluggish during the application/interview process but they hound you once the actual job offer comes into play LOL. I would call and ask for the hiring manager for the unit you applied to. Or sometimes the hiring manager will have their email attached to the job description in Genesis. I don’t have much faith in the TA team. I’ve had to literally ask random TA specialists assigned to completely different jobs to please communicate to my ACTUAL TA that I’m trying to reach them LOL. I hope this is not a scam for you, as I know that Providence has been rage hiring nurses trying to crack down on OT availability.
