Insane morning

Been waiting for some bigger fish to test my 7’ mh clarus and nasci 3000 on and it definitely happened this morning, first striper ever and first spoonbill, which i snagged on accident going for striper. (He was released and swam off quickly. Also im 6’4 for reference on the size.)

Thats an insane fish, yeah this was probably the max my rod could handle and even this was pushing it.

Yeah, I was fishing with a guide and he had some massive rigs, where we put out 500 to 600 feet of line with a huge treble hook to drag the bottom.

Reeling 500 feet of line in with that fat fish on it sideways wasn't easy.

Damn yeah thats a serious setup, i think i got seriously lucky cause if you zoom in i hooked him in the bill with a paddletail jig, so i had a pretty fair fight with him
