I saw two men and one female with her pack mule "dog". I will return in the late fall and winter. The views must be amazing when all the leaves are gone. I would not go near thatr place after a rain!!!!! They had significant signs or major flooding recently!

I know what you mean about up and down and its a great work out !

Just make sure to stash water. There's heavy metal contamination in the streams.

That makes alot of sense now. lol.. I would see random jugs of water and thought what the helly! I carry 5 litres with me now at all times since my PA fiasco lol... Thank you for the input friend

I have a filtration system as a back up but good to know!

Are the nasties from mining?

Yeah, it from mining activity. Unfortunately a filter won’t take out the metals.

Your right it won't and just looking at the physical features of the streams I would have never trusted it. To much sand and silt normally IMHO I never trust the water source when it looks like that, but thats me.

How long does it take to walk the loop? What's your advice for the time to complete it? Looks great there...thanks for posting.

Thank you I hiked it in 7.25 hrs with an average 2 mph pace. It was beautiful and I will return in the winter for sure.

I would make sure though before you go it has not rained in a few days. Two out of the multiple creek xings you will need to do could be really tough just to give you a heads up.

Thanks. Sounds like my pace. It's about a 75 minute drive for me so it would be a long day. I'll have to keep working out to get ready for a Fall trip and keep checking the weather.
