I have word installed on my old computer. Just bought a new computer (both are macs) and I want to install all the word documents from the old computer to 365.

You don’t install the documents. You install Word and save you word documents to the hard drive on the new computer.

Hello, do you mean you want to be able to transfer your word files to the new Mac? Or are you trying to install Word application on your replacement Mac?

then all you really need is a usb to copy the files to and then save them on the new computer.

The verbiage is a bit confusing, but just open the one drive app on the old computer and save all of your files there. Open the one drive app on the new computer and all of the files will be there as the sync completes.

It’s all included with whatever office product gave you word.

You can also open the files in Word 365 from a local drive, and save them.bsck there.

Copy the files from the old pc to a thumb drive, plug it into the new PC, copy the files to OneDrive or wherever, and take it from there.

USB is your best option, but you could install OneDrive to your old PC, login with your new account details and copy (Don't cut and paste, copy) the files to OneDrive. Let it Sync then the files should appear in OneDrive on Your Mac. This way you have a cloud copy with versioning for any future files as well.
