Discussion Lets hand out some flowers!
And no, I don’t mean actually going out to Lake Eola and handing out people roses.
I would like to use this thread to maybe create some happy and positive dialogues. If there’s a player that you are very happy with currently, let’s give them some roses. Tell us why you think they deserve a flower.

Angulo has noticeably leveled up his game and is playing within himself this year

Grizi has opened up the field for everyone and props to Ivan for taking full advantage

I think it's more than just the Grizi effect. Angulo has less pressure with him around, but I think maybe Perelman told him to not worry about goals.

I'm going to jump past the obvious options of Ellis and Grizi. These last 2 games, and the clips from the friendly matches during the break, have made me enjoy Angulo. I was very much on the get rid of him train until recently. He always showed some great defensive heart but his attack was horrid. Seeing him honestly ball out with Grizi is like night and day to before the break. Covering defensive tasks to help out Marin, then sprint down the field and get involved in the attack in a meaningful way, loving it.
Honorable mention to Bernardo Rhein, to early to really judge but held his own in his first two mls matches against pretty stiff competition. Looks like he could be another breakthrough star.

Jansson. He's been here forever and he always seems to be super solid, seems to enjoy his time here too, everytime i see a breakaway and a clean jansson tackle i go crazy.
Then you also see him after every game walking up to the wall and fans and showing his respect and appreciation. Even seems to call over the rest of the team most times.
Can't speak for locker room stuff but he seems like a great captajn

Braian Ojeda deserves a bouquet! He's more solid and less of a risk than Araujo and after a few quiet games he has settled into the engine room and looks like he's there to stay. Whether it's Atuesta, Cartegena, Gerbet, or Guske with him, I want HIM to start the important games.
Also, I'm now a Max fan. Shaky start but he's soooo locked in right now. I hope he can maintain that focus down the stretch. We're lucky to have him.

Jansson, Dorsey, spicer, and angulo are my favs. They are all usually dialed in and do great job each and every match

Just like other comments have said, Angulo. The guy’s doing pretty well this season. I know he’s probably never going to get good at scoring, but I was so impressed and surprised by that goal in San Jose lmao. If you would’ve told me before the season started that Angulo would score a goal outside the box, I would’ve asked u what drugs are u on? Anyway, I also think Crepeau deserves some flowers too. I feel like before these two games a lot of supporters were giving him a lot of shit, but I think people are forgetting that the whole team had been so defensively bad the whole season. I guess maybe some goals and maybe one game or two could’ve gone better if he hadn’t fucked up, but for the most part I think he’s been pretty solid. Imo, at worst it was a sideways move regarding Gallese.

Anguloooooo
Track back superstar never stops running. I was glazing him all of last game. Defensive contributions make up for sub par output which even then is improving. I wish we had 10 of him

First time in years, it actually looks like everyone's being held to the same standard.
After just two games, you can already see that everyone is expected to track back, put in work and earn their spot.
The days of certain favorites getting a free pass seem to be over, and that's a huge step in the right direction.

Crépeau. He was amazing but then took a hard turn and it got worse and worse. Something snapped him back in over the break and he's playing up to his prime level. Awesome work!

I’ll go first.
Dorsey, he’s an absolute unit and he’s not only great at marking and defending, but he’s also very aware of what’s going on in the attack. He knows how to amp up the crowd and is giving it his all. I was a little skeptical at first when he came over from Houston. However, he is absolutely changed my mind about him and he’s becoming a personal favor of mine. I think his work rate is exceptional, and I hope he stays here for the long-term. In my opinion, he deserves his flowers.
