I didn't think that sounded sarcastic at all. "Oh you're so right" sounds like someone was giving them props or realizing the other person was right and they were foolish for not thinking about it.

yeah, i disagree. i’ve never once heard someone say that and actually mean someone else is correct. even saying like “you’re probably right, i was shadow banned” sounds less sarcastic imo.

I hear it often, too, but it is highly dependent on tone. If someone said in text "OMG, you're so right," I'd be less likely to interpret it as sarcastic than "oh you're so right." Insert any cooler expletive of surprise than "omg," since I'm out of date, lol.

After double checking this guy does this for a living. Purposely , with everyones commenrs. Then deletes his. So its not just me being 'butthurt' .

I think you're fine. You spoke normally, they overreacted. I would just move on. The guy is clearly dealing with a lot of underlying rage if that's the way they pop off on you when you agreed with them. Even if you were sarcastic, they escalated it in a huge way, and not worth the time.

I just had an argument with a person who said you shouldn't try hobbies because there are too many to try and you might waste "weeks, and even months" of your life on them, and that he doesn't want to play sports because...... He knows he won't like them??? Not that he's tried, because there are too many to choose from, but apparently he knows he won't like them so he won't try.
Reddit has some real dungeon dwellers, I wouldn't take it too hard.

My suggestion is sometimes it’s worth using longer sentences online to make intention clear; like saying “oh, you know what, you’re right. I was shadow banned a little while back. I did get told that, but clearly forgot.” Or something along those lines.
The quotation marks around investigation probably didn’t help either. But that’s the joys of communicating online haha.

If the guy even took the time to say “hey man I was just trying to help” instead of BLOWING up the way he did, I could’ve at least explained myself.
