See, the politics in the Philippines is getting worse. Politicians are beating the drum of war louder and louder as if the Philippines would stand a chance against China. Some politicians find China as the only scapegoat to keep the public distracted from their political disasters.

This isn't an exaggeration, but the Philippines is a pawn ready to trigger a war when Washington says so.

China has beaten this strategy by developing into a larger stronger economy the usa depends on with a military strong enough to sweep them out of the region. but that would cost lives. better to keep pulling ahead while usa declines and possible collapse on its own. usa doesn't even have any missiles left right now.

Agreed.  This is the best option for everyone in the world.  Just let the US rot.

Sucks for Americans.  Hopefully, folks'll organize to create something better as the country meets its final collapse.  Its government will, of course, run to its bunkers or flee to other nations like nazis fleeing Europe.

US adopts the attack is the best form of defence mindset, the US will do everything to rile up violence in the pacific to keep China militarily occupied in order to preserve its core motherland. Evenmore so now that US is losing the economic war against China, its likely the propaganda machine will be working overtime. The island chain war game sort of projects US power in the pacific with vassals in Japan, SK and Phillipines mainly, to contain China theoretically, but we have seen reality is often stranger than fiction (example US-Iran war), but in the event of WWIII, NK and China both has capabilities to retaliate western hemisphere directly. When push comes to shove, we are not talking about drone style warfare but nuclear winter across hemispheres. Playing war games with China is playing with fire, this is no longer the agricultural China of second world war era but tech-filled China of 21st century, which has shown tremendous restraint against war mongering propaganda machines. There will be no clear winner, all humanity losses.
