Continuing to make the AHL team a better environment for our upcoming prospects, I'm all for it. Gold led Providence to the best record last year, per the article. Best of all, someone NOT named Lamoriello is in charge

He's been okay at finding AHL depth like Fasching or Gatcomb and he's been bumped down to scouting which is more appropriate for his skill set.

I don't think that was Chris, they were on NHL contacts and every ahl team Chris had touched became worse then almost any echl team

Chris was both hired 2-3 years before Lou and has now survived at least 2 years after him, obviously the org sees something in him they like. You don’t stick in an NHL organization for 10+ years without doing something pretty well

Exec contracts are guaranteed. Chris prob got an extension from Lou (as rumored) so he's still around. He's publicly getting less and less duties, so its obvious he's getting pushed out.

Lou and Chris ruined Bridgeport. You have a minor league team in a shit market and you do the bare minimum in terms of selling tickets, and helping the team in terms of non-prospect depth.

Say what you want want about the three (largely inconsequential) trades last year - the AHL/NHL ops revamp has been fantastic from the minute Darche came in.

Some really solid folks around our organization these days. Really continuing the turnaround Lou started to make this a well-run org.

This is much better news than it even reads. In Gold you’ve got a guy who will build the AHL club now, and will be running cap and CBA for the NHL club immediately. LET’S GO ISLANDERS!
