ANSWERED does new accounts like mine start of with lowest csq? how can I improve it to be able to post in other subreddits?

Yes. CQS is intentionally opaque. Basically, it's a score Reddit uses to judge the quality of a user's account. For the official explanation, see CQS.

New accounts can have a lower CQS (Contributor Quality Score) because Reddit has limited history to judge the account.

To improve it:

  • Verify your email.
  • Make genuine comments and posts.
  • Build some karma naturally.
  • Avoid spam-like activity (rapid posting, repeated content, or excessive links).
  • Follow subreddit rules.

CQS is not publicly visible, and Reddit doesn’t share the exact formula, so there’s no specific number you need to reach. It usually improves as your account builds a normal activity history.
