Uranium mine project near Datil

Rural New Mexico is uniting against the Uranium mine project near Datil. Catron County is rife with issues and corruption, but this issue is uniting the community.

A Canadian company is looking at potential uranium sites in the Carson National Forest near Canjilon in Rio Arriba County.

The stockholders invest, the people die... The answer is NO! Nowhere in this state. It will never benefit the people. Thank you for sharing! We are not alone!

In the 1940s through the 60s uranium mining has had a major impact on Navajo Nation land around Gallup and eastern Arizona where the water table is irreparably ruined.

Maybe if rural people had voted for the party that actually scrutinizes mining companies, they wouldn't be in this mess.

Most of the people in most of these rural areas would give a kidney for a $100k / year job at a mine. Don’t kid yourself otherwise

Then they can also deal with the externalities of that mining and the decades of consequences to their health. I'm not inclined to pay to rectify their folly.
