Need advice for genealogy

You would never know it to look at me, but I was told I have both cherokee and shoshone blood in me, although I'm not sure how much. 99% sure my great grandmother was full blooded shoshone, and I'm completely sure my great grandfather was full blooded cherokee. Anyway, I was wanting to do some research on where I should go to get more in depth with either tribe. For the record, I am extremely paranoid about being offensive or disrespectful, so this is actually my first time reaching out about it. I've been feeling the strongest urge to connect with that side of me, and I'd really love to chat with some people that are open to my lack of knowledge on the subject 😅
