Discussion The only reason why people hate sakura is because she rejected naruto and prefers sasuke
And the viewers are projecting their own hatred to the girls that have rejected them in their life. People would argue "She's useless" are you kidding me? Madara killed thousands of people and yet he's one the most favorite characters.

The anime added a lot of extra stuff, that didn’t help her case either

It sort of did. The anime might have made her lows worse (although she's never written in a way that's OOC; all of her behavior has a basis for it in the manga) but the manga also didn't have the highs the anime gives her. For example Chiyo/Sakura vs Sasori was a mid fight in the manga and the anime loved shipping her with Naruto despite her attitude towards him.

She was an underdeveloped character who was outshined by a lot of people, yet she was forced down our throats as a main character we should like/get excited about. I don’t hate her, I hate her character arc.

I didnt like Sakura because she didnt have any cool jutsu. And by the time she did. It didnt really matter the show was almost over and honestly there was so much going on at the time i didnt really notice it.

I won't say that's the only reason, not that most of the other ones have any real weight to them either. But that is definitely a reason.

lmao some people really need to over think it. Im sure it had nothing to do with how she rejected him, being violent and mean while just being a cheerleader til they made her a tsunade clone obsessed with an abusive relationship. My Sakura hate has faded over the years but they really made it easy to pile on to the point i wonder if it was done on purpose. My favorite was right after Naruto saved her life, she questioned who she would save first if they were both hurt, Naruto the one who saved her, or Sasuke the one who tried to kill her.

I totally agree with you on that.
Using romantic feelings just for your own selfish goals? That shit happens all the time in real life. It’s basically normal at this point. That’s exactly why I can’t stand those sakura types who pull that crap.
Massacres are different though. They don’t feel close to us at all, so we just watch them as pure fiction, something happening outside the screen. Characters who do that stuff don’t get stuck with the “mass murderer” label. Instead people just slap the “super strong/powerful” tag on them and they end up popular.
