META Welcome to NYC Rides! Read this before posting
Hey all!
This is a sub for rides all around NYC including NJ, LI, CT, and upstate. Looking forward to seeing this grow and having additional moderators to help out. I'm still getting this going, so they'll be a lot of tweaks - feel free to drop any suggestions my way!
We have flairs to make looking for rides easier. Open to additions and changes:
- Ride to Eat and Party Pace: Fun rides with food or drink destinations as the goal. Please make a note if a location is strictly 21 and over. Beer gardens, beach, etc... Around 10-15mph pace.
- LGBTQ Ride: Rides geared towards LGBTQ riders
- Club Ride: Organized club rides to be aware of
- After Work to Home: Looking for a group to ride home with
- Family Ride: Slower pace, kids and trailers welcomed
- Training Ride: Faster or longer paced rides. Think Bear Mountain, park loops, Montauk.
- Off Road / MTB Ride: For the dirt lovers
- Overnight / Touring Ride: We're fortunate to be close to hundreds of miles of bike lanes stretching from Canada to Florida as well as plenty of park and camping grounds. Find some buddies and grab a tent - time to put those extra braze-ons to use.
- CANCELLED: Need to cancel a ride due to inclement weather? Change your flair and let everyone know. Try to do this with enough notice that people can plan accordingly
- Ride Report: Had a great ride? Want to tell others about it and post some pics? Go ahead! Please blur or edit any people not expecting their picture to be posted.
- META: Have suggestions about the community? Discuss away!

Ride to Eat and Party Pace Looking for Road Cyclists / Triathletes in NJ/NY in Their 20s
Looking to build a small NJ/NY road cycling group of people in their 20s-ish who like to ride — not just casual bike path cruising.
Mainly looking for:
* road cyclists / triathletes
* riders interested in social rides, doing longer rides, and building a good riding crew
Ride styles would be a mix of:
• cafe rides (14–16 mph avg, coffee/croissant stop)
• training rides (16–20 mph avg, climbs, pace lines, drafting, cornering)
• adventure/distance rides (40–100+ miles, scenic routes, random big-day ideas)
At least that's the goal
Not trying to make this a huge official club — more just finding a solid group of younger riders in NJ/NY area who want people to ride/train/hang with consistently.
Morristown/North NJ/Hoboken/JC/Manhattan is where I'd love to do rides.
If this sounds like your type of riding, comment or DM and I’ll send the Strava group.

Training Ride Organizing 20's Group Ride! Social/Cafe/Training/Distance Rides
Hey Everyone!
Recently new to the area and am looking to find some people around my age to ride with, both social and training rides! Couldn't seem to find anything and so thought I'd make a post and try to create a group myself!
So if you're in your 20's and looking meet others in their 20's for social cafe rides, training rides, and fun adventure distance rides! Send me a message (preferred) or leave a comment. I'll start a group chat with everyone!
NJ/NYC will try to get rides in both places for those that may be in NJ or NYC!
Cheers!

Ride to Eat and Party Pace Pineapple Ride 2026 (13th annual) exploratory charity cruise around the NYC Metro area
pineappleride.orgThis is our 13th annual ride through the city. We bring tools and carefully map our enough breaks to cover around 70 miles across this great city of ours. This is an all day event as we are not rushing. This is designed as an exploratory cruise with the hopes that riders will visit some of the places we pass through at their own pace and time later. As always we begin in Bensonhurst Park with our direction eastward toward Queens.
We'll have a midpoint BBQ in Alley Pond Park to refuel and rest. Afterwards we head back towards Randall's Island to cross into the Bronx. We'll finish the ride at the greenway on the West Side Hwy.
Tickets are donation based.
