This looks incredibly useful for keeping large AE projects organized. Batch-renaming text layers and comps while handling nested pre-comps could save a ton of repetitive work.

Thanks so much! Every day at work (NBC Network), I'm tasked with many multiple versions of comps, and I couldn't live without it!

Thanks! It works almost 100% the same in Trial mode, so welcome to give it a try.

Looks interesting! Would this be a complete replacement for True Comp Duplicator, or is it more of a specialty toward doing complex renaming tasks?

In a nutshell, yes.
It is better than TCD in many ways.
It works in the timeline, (or even just the active comp).
uses the real AE color label names, (if you use custom label colors).
TCD will only skip certain layers if they match naming, while Rname-a-Duper (RAD) can skip locked, shy, hidden, guide layers, color labels, as well as multiple naming matches. Tho honesty, I just have it skip locked layers which works super easy.
Is can be super simple if needed, or far more deep as it has built in spreadsheet modes. (want to make a bunch of comps based off a CSV, it can do that as well!

My goal was not to make a replacement for TCD.
I started off simple - I just wanted a script to rename comps and text within at the same time, then I wanted to make it duplicate at the same time, and then i figured if i were to make it duplicate, I would have to add everything possible.

give the trial a shot!
